Beautiful view!

Our family of 6 enjoyed a fabulous stay! The rooms are spacious and each room had a private bathroom. We enjoyed being able to sit together on the back porch, kitchen island and living room. The view was spectacular!! We will stay again!!

Weekend family get away

My sisters, my husband and I came down for the Shakespeare festival in Winona as we have done the last few years. This time we chose to stay outside of Winona to do some other sight seeing. This was a great location and a great property. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Comfortable and close access to Driftless area!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It is in a safe area. The home is well stocked with kitchen place settings. We appreciated the filtered water pitcher. The beds were comfortable too! Hosts were immediately receptive. We would stay again.

Happy with stay

We had a great stay at this property. Bathroom for everyone. Noise from rail and traffic wasn’t an issue and I’m a light sleeper. Sound machines were a great bonus for that.

Fountain city house

There were six adults and an infant staying in the house. One of my sons opted to stay in a hotel instead of using the air mattress.. The bedrooms were nice, and comfortable The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. There was no high chair as listed in the description but most of our meals were eaten out.so that wasn’t a problem.

Beautiful Home

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was a short distance to Winona but it was not an issue. It was nice to have a place to stay with enough bathrooms for all of our guests.

It was a lovely stay. The rooms were very nice and clean and the living room was clean and comfortable. A few to many stairs for us old folks. The kitchen was great for heating food but left a bit to be desired for cooking since there were a few things missing. All in all it was a very pleasant apartment.

Three of us traveled together and we loved that we all had our own bedrooms, bathroom, and keurig! There was a common kitchen and living area to share that had everything we needed and plenty of room. My daughter & granddaughter live in Winona, they stopped in for a visit, and loved that it was so comfortable. Very tastefully decorated and even had seasonal decor. The train noise was not bothersome at all for any of us as mentioned in the description. We will definitely be booking here again. It it located walking distance from the dining in Fountain City, and a 10 minute drive to Winona. Great location and a beautiful view of the river from the living room and front bedroom.

The listing was inaccurate for number and type of beds. The description was misleading/not describing it as an Inn with rooms you can rent separately along with common spaces. Thankfully our booking included all of the rooms in our section of the house. Because the post was inaccurate about the number of beds and style of beds, the host mentioned that there was 2 Queen blow up matresses in a closet. There were only 2 twins. The kitchen had bare minimum for items. Missing a few key items and the knives were very dull. To cook some meals we needed to pick up kitchen items.We struggled with the temperature of the place. Unable to make changes. Bedrooms felt like in the mid 80's on the last night.Train and road noise wasn't conveyed in the listing, it was only mentioned after booking. White noise machines wereb available in each room and complementary ear plug available, which was a nice touch to help but it would have been better to know about it prior to booking. The train went by a lot.There were little nice touches like k cups for the in room kurig, and simple toiletries like shampoo and body wash. Because of the number of noncoupled adults in our group, the inaccuracies in the misleading post with the number of actual beds and not couches/futons/blow up matresses was disappointing.

Fountain City 2023

We stayed here in January 2023 and were very happy with the place. We had 7 adults and 2 dogs. The bedrooms were all spacious and well equipped including a private bathroom for 2 of the 3 bedrooms, we were in the upstairs unit. The kitchen was a bit small and the living area was downstairs, it would have been nice to have it all on 1 floor. However, the place is lovely with some beautiful views of the river. The location was fine, right on the main road so plenty of street parking. The trains do run at night but I didn't find them too loud and they do have sound machines in some of the rooms. Logan the host was great, he kept me updated all throughout the process,. I would certainly stay here again.

Nice clean property and friendly hosts. My only reason for. GOOD rating is my misunderstanding of the layout, we were up stairs and the living area downstairs. Not keen on stairs at our age. The thermostat was owned controlled and not located in our lodging area so things heated up during the day making it uncomfortable in the evenings. The owners did provide fans. I would recommend ceiling fans and maybe some split air units.

Friends

We were three high schools couples reuniting after 50 years and wanted to meet, relax and enjoy the area. This place was perfect! We loved the house with the porch and view. We could walk to the restaurant/bar part of town. The owners have a well kept home and thought of all the details. The owners were thoughtful and checked in to make sure we were comfortable.
