2 night stay for it’s very close to Ching Fei garden. Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel was old but adequate. Room smelled smoke and was changed to a non smoke room right away. Breakfast was simple but tasty and sufficient.

Great hotel in Shunde
Hotel is located at town center, landmarks and old town are within walking distance. Standard room and bathroom is spacious with updated furnishing. Hotel lobby is huge. There are two upscale restaurants on 2nd floor, food is good but pricy. Gym at 4/F is well equipped. A travel agency at the lobby provides adequate info about long distance bus and ferry services to Hong Kong and Macau. Bus pick up is in front of hotel. Very helpful hotel staffs!

SLOW CHECK IN AND DEPOSIT FOR ROOMS THAT ARE PAID
In this hotel is always the same problem,check ins take forever and keep asking for a huge amount of money as deposit,as if the customer was gong to trsh the room at check out more often than not takes also forever to get it back and if you paid with a card takes over towo weeks to get it back,thetres no minibar in the room,why the steep deposit? not a place i will stay again,there are better options nearby

Decent stay
Stay was relatively pleasant. Decently priced and so was the comfort. The condition of the hotel was quite old and as they did not have rooms for 4 people we had to split 2 people per room. However our rooms were also split apart strangely. Cleaning was not super thorough as I believe they don’t vacuum the floor? Well they didn’t the one time my sister stayed in the room but still wanted the room made. The best feature of the hotel was the location. Smack bang in the busiest part in the city means there was lots to see surrounding the hotel with lots of shops and restaurants open until late! It even had its own shopping centre next door which we ran out of time to explore. Also there is a taxi rank just a few metres down for convenience.

I like the restaurant and the sauna in the gym. I don’t like the club room which costs more than the premier room but the bathroom is smaller, and it doesn’t have the couch as the premier room.

Took too long time for check-in process and check-out process. Should separate the queue for Check in and check out. The overall stay in New World Shunde Hotel is good, with minor issue, i.e. non-smoking room with bad smell of smoking when entered into the room after check-in.

Noise from Inter-Connecting Room
The hotel is quite old. Some of the rooms are inter-connected through a common door, though locked. The trouble is when the guests next door are noisy, we may have to share their noise and become quite disturbed at night. We made a complaint to the front desk and their manager was kind enough to move us to the executive suite without inter-connecting door. The hotel is quite centrally located in the district of ShenDe (Shun Tak in Cantonese), therefore there are plenty of dining outfits to choose from (ShenDe is famous for its food). However, checking in took a long time. Its the first time I saw guests to have their pictures taken at the Front Desk.

Frigging annoying check in and check out
As always with Chinese hotels,does not matter if its a hostel or a five star,the service or lack of it,check in is slow,they check all as if you are some criminal and not someone thet brings then business,deposit,he asked for 2000rmb that i dodit carry with me,then it was 1000 then it was 500,my room is paid for in advance and im not a thief,check out same thing,he asked me five tomes i i took anything from the minibar,THERE WASNT ANYTHING IN THE FRIGGING MINIBAR!what could i take?China is rteally a place the less intyeraxction you do with service people the better for your nerves,its not the lack of English,its the lack of grey matter in their brains,if you ask me five times for the minibar why dont you just send someone to go and check?really annoying ansd spoils your otherwise fine stay another thing,theres plenty of notices put up by the police regarding "lecherous acts",what are the hookers by the lift doing there?they were pretty,though,but put your act together if you want better feedback

All good except cold food in the lounge.
Good hotel overall in a nice and busy part of the city. We stayed in the executive floor and the lounge is great with good view of the city and nice and tidy. Unfortunately, the breakfast served in the lounge is all cold. Not heated up and not kept warm, not good to have cold fry eggs, sausages and dim sum. We expected better food in an executive lounge. Nonsmoking floor but smells of smoke everywhere.

Lovely hotel offering great value.
In more than 30 years of traveling and staying at hundreds of hotels, I have never before been offered a free welcoming soup on my first night, delivered to my room. It was a lovely gesture and most welcome after a busy work day. BTW, the chicken soup was absolutely delicious!
