The fire alarm went off in your room at 4:30 and 4:35 am. I called the the service number. Told them what the fire alarm went off twice can they send someone to look at it. They said the manager will be at 5:30 am. When I check in the paper they gave me said a employee will be on property. I brought to the thier attention no response. They could move us to another room I said if I move I could not go back sleep. The alarm went off again at 5:30 am for a minute. I called at 8 am and ask for compensation for the fire alarm going off the hotel employee was rude and told us is was my fault for not moving rooms at 4:30 in the morning. I brought up no one for the hotel was here he did care. When I book the room for hotel.com on the site there was $15 pet fee the hotel charge $25. I will never stay there again

Cockroaches in my room

First off i stayed here the week before and thought it was a decent hotel. Then i decided to also stay the following Week. Well i had two cockroaches on my sink in my room when i got in it. I wrote to the hotel with no response doubt i will be staying here again!

Good low cost solution when in Decatur. Sheets are clean and Shower water is hot. No breakfast on site. Checking is unique with an agent at the other end of a video kiosk. That said the process was smooth and quick.

A little different checking in with a remote person and a machine, but I have to say that Palmer was very nice and the machine dispensed all information, room card and receipt very well. First time I had a credit card charged $25 for incidentals up front with the promise to refund it later. Normally, the card is held in case it is needed. So far, my stay is good.

They advertised a swimming pool which was shown on the map inside the room door as well. They advertised breakfast, and coffee. The only coffee available was a horrible machine in the lobby, which was horrible. They asked for a 25 dollar fee even though the room was paid in advance which was supposed to be returned on leaving. I will be checking my account for this. Very uncomfortable beds, barely any pillows and few towels.

There is no human staff at the front desk. Everything is done through a kiosk… very unfriendly. The carpet in my room was dirty ( I never walked on it with my bear feet). It was stained, holes, rips and so did the chair in the room ( thank goodness I could put the chair in the closet)

Dont recommend

The room and hotel were clean and comfortable. There was NO human at the font desk, a computer opened up and did the transaction. We were not told the room was in a back building attached to the hotel, had to go in and ask the computer. Finally got to the room, sat down im the chair and almost landed on my back as the chair just kept leanimg further and further back! Not impressed and wont go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.

Free coffee machine in lobby was not good, darkest coffee barely tinted the water. It is like a Zoom check-in, talking to desk clerk on-screen and using scanner to send him my ID and CC. It was fine, but strange to me.

I will never book at this property again. I bokked thru Expedia "pay at property " i get a phone call at 4pm demanding i give them credit card information to run my card right then. I use a prepaid card for booking, for these purposes, so if someone hacks my card, I can just cancel it. I was booking overnight for a business function and wasn't checking in unti 6pm or so. I told this guy that and he told me that i have until 5pm to give him a card he can charge right then or loose the reservation. Well.... needless to say, We choose to not keep the reservation due to the lack of professional of this hotel and could tell our stay wouldn't be enjoyable.
