Welcome to Island Sands 109 on beautiful Okaloosa Island! We are excited and pleased to share our little piece of heaven with our guests. We hope the attention to detail and the many extras will encourage you to consider Island Sands 109 as your next destination for fun and relaxation. Perfectly situated near the west end of Okaloosa Island in the small complex of Island Sands, this oceanfront ground floor western corner condo is only steps to the private dune walkover and wide pristine beach. The condo’s double sliding glass doors and extra windows give you a wonderful expansive view of tropical landscaping and palm trees. \* FREE beach service of two chairs and one umbrella for guests staying from June 1st to October 31st. \* FREE WIFI is also included. Renovations to the condo include a Sunbrella sofa sleeper with the comfortable Cozy Sleeper System, two matching recliners, entertainment center, and custom made drop leaf dining table with chairs. An extensive 2018 remodel includes granite counter tops, new stainless appliances, newly painted kitchen and bath cabinets, new cabinet hardware, new kitchen and hall lighting, new patio furniture, total wall repaint, new interior doors and hardware, new smooth ceilings, crown mounding, and baseboards, new bedroom ceramic floor tile, new water heater, and totally reworked smoothly sliding glass doors.\*\*\* PROPERTY DETAILS ENTRANCE The 1st floor condo has its own private entrance and sidewalk. No stairs to climb or crowded elevators to wait on, making unloading luggage and groceries quick and easy. You’ll have your own numbered parking space right in front of the condo and near the door. There’s also extra unassigned parking for your guests. Keyless entry makes for a safe and convenient entrance. No keys to keep up with and return at the end of your stay. PATIO and OUTSIDE LIVING Step outside onto your own large private patio with beautiful Polywood furniture. Enjoy a quiet early morning cup of coffee or a relaxing nap on the warm sun. If grilling is your pleasure, you've come to the right place. Pull the Weber grill onto the large grassy area and have your own cookout preparing steaks, burgers, or fresh seafood from the local seafood markets. Plenty of space for your little ones to run and play on the lawn while you relax on the patio. You can also store any extra Beach gear here instead of having to store it in your condo or car. LIVING and DINING AREAS The roomy light filled open living area has a queen size Cozy sofa sleeper, two recliners, ceiling fan, and entertainment center with HDTV and DVD player. The adjacent dining area has comfortable seating for four at the Mennonite-Crafted drop leaf table as well as extra seating at the social bar. KITCHEN and LAUNDRY The full kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to prepare meals if you should choose to cook. You’ll enjoy the stainless appliances including a smooth top stove with convection oven. The microwave is full size - not one of the small countertop models. The dishwasher is so quiet you often won’t even know it’s on! The refrigerator is large enough for all your storage needs and comes complete with an ice maker. Small appliances include a Ninja blender, Keurig, Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee maker, Crock Pot, and toaster. The kitchen lighting is new and features motion sensitive under counter lighting to fully illuminate the beautiful granite counter tops. The open view into the living/dining area and to the outside patio makes sure the cook doesn’t miss out on conversation or activities. The adjacent laundry closet has a louvered door which gives convenient easy access to the full size LG washer and dryer. MASTER BEDROOM and HALF BATH The serene master bedroom hosts a comfortable king size bed with silky smooth sheets. It also includes an HDTV, DVD player, radio alarm clock, ceiling fan, plenty of closet space, and an attached private half bath. The large window lets in welcome natural light but is also equipped with a black out Levolor blind for those who want to sleep in or nap. (After all, you’re on vacation!) FULL BATH A full bath with tub and shower is centrally located in the condo just off the hallway. The curved shower curtain rod makes for a more roomy shower. We have new towels as well as a new water heater for plenty of hot water. SWIMMING POOL Our large gated crystal clear pool is located steps from the condo. It has both women’s and men’s bathrooms in the bathhouse as well as an outside shower. There are plenty of chaise lounges for sunning and well as picnic tables for a poolside meal. SPECIAL FURNISHINGS Much of the art and decor accents are one of a kind and are from the owners' private collection. Paintings by Florida artist Morris Johnson convey the feeling of laid back fun sure to be experienced during your stay. OTHER EXTRAS \*Located in the living area inside the TV stand are baskets of popular DVD's and a large variety of books for teens thru adults as well as puzzles for a rainy day. \*Children will enjoy having a book basket of their own, beach toys in the patio toy box, and several dvds chosen especially for them. \*Two extra beach chairs for early morning sunrise or evening sunset viewing and relaxing are located in the master bedroom closet. \*For those who prefer grilling next to the pool there is a grassy grilling area with several grills and picnic tables. \* We have a bike rack for those who bring their own bikes or rent bikes. it is located just across the parking lot from our condo. I loved the personal touch of children’s movies and books in the condo. Very close access to the beach and the bottom corner unit gave a sense of privacy. Quick access to beach which was clean and had chair service. We enjoyed the pool, clean and convenient. Owner checked in on us by text and phone to ensure we were happy with place. Only down side might be that it would be a long walk to get to restaurants. We knew that ahead of time tho. We would stay here again! ##### Kelly S. If you want to be on a great beach, this is the place to stay! We appreciated having the beach just a few steps out the front door. We enjoy preparing many of our own meals and this was the most completely equipped kitchen we have ever found in a VRBO. The owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Would like to stay again if the opportunity presents itself. ##### John P. It has a charming beach cottage vibe. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed and more. Our son was in another condo and kept coming down to ours and admiring it. Can’t say enough good things about Judy as a host. She is great to work with. The beach is a very short walk from the condo. It made things much easier for my husband who has difficulty walking long distances due to a stroke and neuropathy.The beach is absolutely beautiful. Restaurants and a grocery store are a short drive away. We enjoyed our stay so much. Highly recommend this condo. ##### RW L. Property was amazing. 109 ( bottom floor) is the unit to get in this building. 5-6 steps from parking spot to room door. 10 steps to beach access out of the back door! Unit was clean, and as advertised. It’s far enough down Santa Rosa Blvd so you aren’t bothered by traffic noises, loud music, etc. Judy made sure we were taken care of from the minute we booked. Unit looked fresh and new! Can’t wait to go back. ##### Justin N. Judy's unit was beautiful. First floor...kind of a must for us (our regular home is zero entrance) and we loved that this home has no steps to get in the front door! The complex was very quiet. Beautiful patio furniture (a must for us "snowbirds"). All inside furniture comfy and beautiful. Building is small enough that we actually got to know several of the other people there...again a plus for us. Beautiful kitchen, all necessary kitchen needs (and thank goodness a Keurig coffee maker!). Condo was very clean and welcoming! Judy is SUCH a sweet lady! She made very sure that we knew about good restaurants, things to do, etc. We very much enjoyed our time here! ##### paula s.
