We do our utmost to exceed your expectations JUST READ THE REVIEWS!! YOU WILL LOVE OUR CONDO! There are large HI-def flat screen TV's with DVR players in both the living and master bed rooms. The bunk bed area also has a flat screen TV with built-in DVD player for the kids to watch their favorite movies and a Large privacy curtain. It is off the hall and has its own bath room with shower. The bunk area is separate and private with a "ceiling to floor" retractable curtain for privacy. That way the kids don't need to bother the parents in the morning. A full-size separate washer and dryer is inside the condo that you can use to keep your belonging fresh and clean. You will love the new King Bed in the spacious Master Bedroom... comfortable and roomy. The Master Bed room is furnished with classic and comfortable furniture.. All top of the line. Don't forget the added value of this corner condo...both with the multiple windows and the added private balcony off the Master Bedroom. Imagine yourself sipping coffee while you sit on the balcony and look out over to the State Park, Beach and waters of the Gulf (across the street) and Destin proper (off to the East). Its all part of the experience of staying with us in Sandpiper 501.. The furniture in the Living room is classic/rich-looking and comfortable. The dinning table with the bar stools allows full dining pleasure for 6\. A new designer sleeper sofa and adjustable lounge chair are all you need to lounge around and sleep very comfortably in the living room area. Destin West beach and Bay (Caribbean style resort) is one of the newest and most unique on Okaloosa Island. In the middle of a lush, tropical landscape (bay side) is a lazy river ( the longest in the area) with a zero entry pool and 2 hot tubs. Fish from the bay, catch dinner and grill on one of the many BBQ's. Want to spend time on the beach? Just a fun walk over the SKY WALKWAY. While on the gulf side enjoy all the amenities it has to offer including a 5000 sq ft pool and a state of the art fitness center. My husband, 2.5 year old son and I stayed in the condo and both sets of our parents stayed in the RV park. We had a great time. Pretty easy access to the beach and lots of pools to choose from. The condo was clean and very comfortable. We did a Walmart grocery pick up, which is incredibly convenient. Make sure to read the list of what to bring. We would definitely stay here again. We had a great time relaxing on the patio and hanging by the pools/lazy river. The place was spotless, very clean and nicely decorated. Check-in was a breeze. We wore our pool bands when down at the pool, but no one ever asked to see them. Beds were comfortable and we watched the sun rise from the balcony in the master bedroom and set from the patio off the living room. Very relaxing. Just a helpful hint, they do not provide toilet paper or salt/pepper (which are some of the things you normally don't think you need to bring) so be sure to bring your own. ##### Jill G. We got in late the night of arrival but check in was super easy, great instructions for parking.The pool and lazy river were amazing. The ocean water wasn't good when we went so it was nice to have the pool and lazy river for my son to use most of the time. The walk to the ocean is super fast and easy. I suggest going more evening time (5pm and later) otherwise the private beach is completely crowded and covered as other condos are using the area too. That is nothing on the condo itself, just a suggestion when staying! We went in June so crowds were extra high. We booked this place super last minute as we decided to stay at a beach condo for 3 days on our drive back to Oklahoma from Disney World. The condo was well taken care of, had everything we needed and we felt at home on our little stay there. This is a place I will suggest to my clients when booking beach places in the area. Also, I have seen complaints of the pools/laxy river being dirty... we didnt have that issue. The wind blew a lot one day so there would be some stuff from the landscaping around in it, but it wasn't bad and they had it cleaned out by the next morning. We knew exactly what we needed to bring. The condo was immaculate, the master bed so comfortable, and the furniture is great quality. It felt like home. Many other rental properties I've stayed are uncomfortable with a mish mash of cheap furniture. That is not the case here. The furniture is thought out down to table lamps and mirror where you need it. This was a part work & part vacation trip for me and the internet was also high speed. If in the area again, I would most definitely choose a Glenn & Peggy property. ##### Susan A. This condo and the owners are superior to most anything you'll find in the area. In the past I have written long winded reviews and mentioned such things as how well Peg and Glenn treat their renters, how well they keep the unit updated etc. I found the new "LOG" (Note pad) in the unit when we got there this time and was the first one to use it - I am really looking forward to going back in May and seeing what other's have written . This is the 5th year we have stayed at this property and it was nice before, but the improvements that have made since we were here last year are outstanding. The new King Bed, the new night stands (master and Bunk room), the new fridge/freezer , microwave and what appeared to be a new dishwasher were very nice. The new sofa/sleeper and the chair are nice, as well as the upgraded TV’s and the wireless internet. My laptop wireless crapped out the first day we were there, however I was surprised to see the dual band modem and an Ethernet cable available so I could hook up that way. Great foresight by the owners. The owners were very easy to work with and the entire experience was great. How great was it? We just completed our 14th and 15th week's stay. Peg and Glenn are such great hosts and we have just booked for two weeks in Nov 2019 (already had booked two weeks in April/May 2019). We continue to be surprised with new improvements - we found a new full sized washer and dryer, and the addition of a crock pot to the already wide assortment of kitchen appliances available. Why so many trips to this condo? When you stayed at the best - why change? There is so much to do in the immediate area and handy to nearby places such as Pensacola Naval Air Museum, Aquariums (love our dolphins), and of course the beach and Lazy River/pools. Already have it booked for a week in May of 2016\. As usual, we totally enjoyed the TLC that was evident in this property as provided by Glenn & Peg (owners). We actually received info from Glenn on a situation with the door of the dish washer before we even entered the unit. That was taken care of the very next morning, as well as a burned out light in the master bath and another situation we discovered with the oven. This is typical of the immediate attention that is provided for this property. I had the pleasure of meeting Glenn and Peg during this stay as they were in the area for an owners meeting and totally enjoyed our face to face conversation. So very nice to meet face to face, especially after a few years of emailing and texting. Although we have been staying in this unit for years, and are very familiar with the area, the information that is included in their instruction package is outstanding and we can see it would be very helpful to first time visitors. Another very comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable week in Sandpiper 501 has just concluded and we are already looking forward to our next visit to what seems to have become our "home away from home". This being our 6th stay in this unit, with our 7th already booked for mid-November certainly indicates how much we love the unit and yes we have discussed booking again for May 2016\. Things just do not get any better than what is offered within and outside the unit. We especially loved the Lazy River and the hot tubs. The Skybridge permitted us easy access to the beach Gulfside for our early morning walks and yes, dolphin sightings (weather conditions permitting). We did manage side trips to the National Naval Aviation Museum (NAS Pensacola), Santa Rosa County Veterans Memorial (Milton), and the Air Force Armament Museum - just outside Eglin AFB. Perhpas not everyone's idea of interesting, but we certainly enjoy reliving the military past. Peg and Glenn are easy to work with and very attentive and provide timely answers to any questions you may have from the time of the inital contact for reservations to any queries that need a response before, during and even after your stay. We have to thank Peg and Glenn (the owners) for sharing this condo with us and also for the outstanding TLC they put into maintaining this condo in top notch condition. Everything needed if you decide to cook is at your finger tips, pots, pans, utensils and yes even a cork screw and can opener. However, if you do not desire to cook in the condo, the eating choices nearby are a smorgasbord. We totally enjoyed the Lazy River, especially when the young the kids commented on the "old folks in the river". LOL We really appreciate the choice of balconies this condo offers. The main one off the living room is wonderful for morning coffee/tea as it is nicely shaded and has views of the Bay and swimming areas. When the late afternoon (early evening) sun engulfs that balcony, there is the balcony off the Master Bedroom that is shaded and offers views of both the Bay and the Gulf and at times gave us a laugh when we watched traffic backed up all the way to Destin on the highway, while we were sipping a cold one.
