I booked a last minute trip with candlewood suites during Labor Day weekend when all the other hotels and condos were booked. I was reluctant at first to book since the price was lower than I expected but all of that instantly changed as soon as I pulled into the property. The exterior and interior of the building was well maintained, well lit and clean! My room was very clean too. It came with a built in mini kitchen, an Ethernet outlet and free wifi. I changed out all my towels once for fresh ones and they were happy to give me a fresh set. The bathroom was very clean as well. I’m spooked when I go to hotels so I can say I was very comfortable getting settled in quick. I ended up having to extend my stay for another night because I wasn’t ready to leave Destin/fwb just yet and the receptionist gladly assisted me with the reservation. She was so helpful and nice and professional, and I can say I had the same experience with another receptionist that checked me in. I had to wash some clothes, and was able to use their laundry room, free of charge. We picked up some free coffee and some snacks that I was able to have charged to my room, so I found that so convenient. I’m definitely coming back to stay and even work, since all the amenities I need are there. Also you’re close to the beach, yummy restaurants and entertainment. Good job, candlewood suites!!!

Great place to stay with reasonable rate

We appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable and room very clesn. Kitchen area had everything we needed. The location was good and a short drive to public beach. Atea was safe and quiet. The hotel is pet friendly but we rarely saw a dog and never heard barking

This was a unique experience with a courtesy call prior to our arrival to confirm my reservation and inform us of all hotel policies. Check in was expeditious & every staff member had a friendly and respectful attitude. The room was spacious and clean. Parking was free. The location was convenient to where we traveled while in Fort Walton. I’d definitely recommend and stay again.
