An oasis just 2 min walk from the beach. We got hit hard by the hurricane, but things are pretty much back to pre-hurricane times at Blue Lagoon (no pier yet : ( ) every day gets better not to mention the weather is great! For the latest information regarding what is open, you can go to the following websites: Town of FMB, Chamber of Commerce websites or Beach Talk Radio on FB. Please note that while our home did not sustain much damage at all, the properties adjacent to ours were damaged, but our backyard is completely fenced so it feels like a private oasis. The island is still in recovery mode but everyday there is progress. New stores and restaurants open daily and the beaches are looking really terrific. We have high speed internet and there are many restaurants now open on the island (Bayfront Bistro, Yucatan, Snug Harbor, Cabanas, Tiki Bar, Wahoo Willies many food trucks, Margaritaville, etc) the weather is great. We are back and better and residents are amazingly resilient group of people, be a part of the the exciting rebirth of #FMBSTRONG. Be among the first to enjoy the newly built Blue Lagoon, completed and renting starting January of 2019\. This home is situated mid-island, on a peaceful street in Fort Myers Beach. The full kitchen/breakfast bar with seating for 3 comes with everything you'll need for preparing your perfect meals. The bedrooms are located down the hall from the main living area. In the master, rest comfortably on the brand-new memory foam King size bed in the master bedroom and enjoy a movie in your 50" HD Smart TV. A relaxing shower in the private elegant en-suite master bathroom with walk-in shower awaits you. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, also with a brand-new memory foam bed with dresser and 50" smart TV with streaming. The third bedroom has two twin beds, dresser and 50" TVs . Queen sofa sleeper in the living room sleeps two more for a total of 8 guests. There is a pack'n play for those who might be traveling with little ones, plus a booster & a high chair. Side rails and stroller upon request. Special toddler tableware. The two guest bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub. Both bathrooms have hair dryers and starter shampoos, conditioners and lotions. For your convenience, this home is outfitted with free, wireless, high-speed internet streaming service. The washer & dryer are located on the main floor (with starter detergent) and for those of you with allergies, you can rest assured this home is smoke free. The pool area is just lovely and inviting. Soak up the sun in your favorite lounger or dine in the outdoor table for six with additional seating area for another six. Grill your favorite meal in the propane grill. The warm and inviting salt water pool is beckoning you! For our guests travelling with their dogs, this home is pet friendly. The property is fully fenced (in the backyard area). A maximum of two dogs are allowed. There is a pet fee of $150 per dog, two dog maximum and only with prior approval from owner. Some breeds are not permitted. Owner reserves the right to prior approval. Pet waiver is required. Payment must be made at check out. Wonderful place to stay with my family . It accommodated five adults and three kids ( 7y/o, 1.5 y/o and a 7 month) with ease. The house is wonderful with all the amenities you need. The pool feels private and is great for cooling off. The best part is you’re just a couple minutes from beautiful Fort Myers beach. There is also plenty to do on the island and if you want to go exploring most places are within a reasonable distance. We personally like to explore Bonita springs and the fish house restaurant there is fantastic. Lastly our host was very helpful and responsive the entire trip. I highly recommend staying at this house if you bring a toddler along, they have all of the necessities and more. The beach is two minutes away and the pool and backyard space are a true oasis. We spent hours in the pool relaxing, listening to music and reading our books. Grocery and restaurants all close and convenient. Beds comfortable and house very clean. About 2.5km from the centre of Fort Myers which is a nice walk along the beach front. Close enough but also nicely down the road to enjoy the quieter beaches. Pool is a nice size for the occasional cool down after using the sun trap of a garden! Beds are large and comfy. Everythjng you need for a relaxing beech break. Gabriela is a very accommodating host and was always quick to respond to any communication we had with her. The immaculate property was perfect for our family including a 19 month old! Being mid-island made it very easy to get to the beach and walk around if we wanted to. We really felt at home while staying here! The pool in the back was an added bonus! Our girls trip was wonderful! Despite the 90 to 100 degree weather, we were close to the beach and also had a cool pool to relax in. It was a great home to relax with plenty of privacy around the pool area. We also traveled with a toddler and we loved having the undercover area by the pool for him to hang out out of the sun.The location of the property was also convenient as we tend to make multiple trips to the grocery store while on the island and it was only a couple of minutes away. It rained just about every day. The house has a great location tho so it was a very easy walk to the beach in between rainstorms to look for shells.
