"The Abbey is an icon and worth a stay IF you can get an affordable rate. It’s an old hotel so don’t expect things to be perfect. Despite them continually coating things in white paint it doesn’t take long or much effort to find things wrong/worn with the hotel. The room was clean enough but had red stains on the carpet and the bathroom needs an update, thorough cleaning, and caulk update. The spa is their main selling point but even there things like the steam room are in desperate need of more cleaning, tiles replaced, etc. It was worth the stay but keep your expectations lower and then you won’t be disappointed. "

"No included breakfast-no microwave in room-air conditioner didn’t work. At 4am a noise started about every 5 min. Sounded like a toilet flushing and lasted about as long but continued every 5 min or so. No sleep after that! We did enjoy the Resturant for dinner but there was only one server and she was busy!"
