This is a repeat stay for us. It is excellent property and as described, clean, and convenient to where we needed to be for our trip! Highly recommended.
We were in town for a horse show at TIEC and stayed here for the weekend. The Hosts were amazing and left us goodies to enjoy when we arrived (the kids loved this special touch!). The beds were comfortable and the towels were plentiful! There was nothing more we could have asked for except for more time here! We will be back!
This little gem is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again this year! We love that it is pet friendly & clean as well as cozy and has lots of character. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
We rented this cabin for an event at Tryon Equestrian Center. We were very pleased with the location of the home, the character of the home, and the cleanliness. The owners were very nice and despite being next door respected our privacy completely. Would definitely recommend this spot!
this was our second time staying here, and we loved it just as much this time as the last time. It is such a cool house with a lot of character. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is clean, the bathrooms are nice, and the beds are all comfortable. the Internet was having problems while we were there, but outside of that it was perfect. It is especially great if you were showing at TIEC, it takes 10 minutes or less to get there from the house.
Daniel and Marie Paule have made this 200+ year old farm house a delightful place to relax and enjoy being with friends and family. Everything was well thought out and very functional. Read the history of the farm house that Daniel has put together. Everything becomes real and alive. I cannot give it a better rating 11 out of 10!
We were in town with family for a horse show at TIEC. The property was an instant favorite with our family that loves “picturesque, historic, simple” country charms! Everything about the house was welcoming and realistically detailed for its time period. It truly felt like stepping back in time. The host was exceedingly helpful, prompt to respond, and very gracious. Deer, turkey, and other wildlife abound. We cannot say enough about this charming home and it’s owner’s thoughtful hospitality… we will definitely be back again!
The description got us there. We are history enthusiasts and Daniel and Marie have some deep history to share of the property and their own lives. We came to stay there because we were up at the WCRA at the Tryon. Less than 10 minutes, we had our own cabin in the mountains. Relaxing and comfortable, the Coepens welcomed us with all the essentials. I’d stay there again for a getaway quiet retreat, or if at the Tryon again. Or On the history trail through the east coast, stay here! You’ll learn a lot!
There's so much to talk about when talking about this unique gem. My family and I had the most wonderful time. The House brings history alive but doesn't lack modern comfort. It was thoughtfully decorated and there's many pieces of history in every room. The owners Daniel and Marie also provided a folder where the store of the house, it's builders and the restoration is documented. It was an amazing read and the pictures of the restoration show the passion and love that was poured into the house.
The Outdoors: 6 acres of beautiful and peaceful land. There's so much to explore for all ages. My toddler (3) loved the shed with the lawnmowers, and the teens the firepit in the back yard. I loved walking through the forest. There are many deer that come to the house a lot. It was fun watching them.
Other: it was very clean, the beds were comfortable, supplies (i.E Keurig coffee and marshmallow sticks) are plenty, appliances work well
Summary: Damiel and Marie are wonderful. They are caring and very welcoming. We had the honor talking with them. They are really the BEST! We loved every second of our stay and planning on returning in the very near future. If you want an experience of a life time, this is the place to go. Turn off your phone and soak in the peace and quiet of this unique farmhouse.
The farmhouse was perfect for us. The entrance into the community and the drive to the house is lovely. It's secluded and picturesque. The goldfish pond is a few feet from the house and has a bench to sit on. BBQ worked great and there’s a firepit too. There was a large bowl of candy for us in the kitchen and a package of Pepperidge Farm assorted cookies. The fireplaces inside the kitchen and living room are gas and turn on with a switch and let off very nice heat. Great ambience. The house is fully heated and has a 2-zone thermostat downstairs and upstairs. The house is also equipped with three electric stove heaters that add even more ambience. There's even an electric heater in the downstairs bathroom if you like it really really warm. The kitchen is great to work in and the refrigerator was stocked with condiments and milk and OJ. Great Cuisinart coffee maker/grinder and a Keurig with a lot of assorted k-cups. The farmhouse table was wonderful to sit at. Plenty of nice dinnerware, glassware, bowls, blender, electric hand mixer. Everything you have at home! The house has plenty of blankets, nice area rugs, TVs, DVD players and DVDs. Comfortable beds especially the King, 4 bathrooms, two showers, one with a rain shower. Cell phones worked great. Great privacy. Hoping to return in the Spring! Thank you Daniel and Marie😊
Host was wonderful! Answered all of questions immediately and told stories of the historical house and grounds.Place was very clean and interesting. Lots of deer and turkeys around. Very charming. Place was well stocked with anything you might need including a lovely bottle of wine. Comfortable beds!
We enjoyed our stay in the historic Farmhouse! It was just as listed and pictured, and hosts were wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered to find an array of goodies for us and the dogs!
Truly loved and appreciate the historic home, the effort the owners devoted to restoring the home and country surroundings. The host provided “goodies”, including a holiday cookie and an abundance of coffee. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the gorgeous old farmhouse for a week during the summer horse shows at the Tryon equestrian center. The location was very convenient and the owners were very helpful and wonderful to work with. The home was clean and it was so unique to stay in such a historic property. We will definitely stay again!
We all just loved the historic farmhouse! It’s big and cozy and the hosts are without a doubt the most accommodating hosts I’ve ever stayed with! You are close in, but feel worlds away.
We loved this place! This is a lovely house with a lot of history, but with all modern amenities, too. The setting is gorgeous and we all felt very safe there. I loved sitting on the back deck in the morning, and in the afternoon watching the deer eat in the yard. It's an extraordinary place and I would recommend it highly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for events at TIEC, charming, cozy, and clean property, and wonderfully hospitable hosts! Lots of nice touches - kitchen was stocked with coffee, snacks, juice, bottled water, chocolates and cookies! And the history of the home is amazing! Will definitely return!
