"Handy location at end of the Danube promenade, which is a lovely walk. The reception lady was really helpful, lovely and kind. It's comfortable place to stay, parking included and a cooked to order breakfast. My only gripe is that aircon wasn't the best in the room. Other than that no complaints and a nice stopover accomodation."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Foltești?
The best area to stay in Foltești is within the village centre, particularly around the main road, Strada Principală.

This central area offers convenient access to local amenities and provides a good base for exploring the surrounding rural landscape. You'll find the local shops and eateries concentrated here, making it easy to pick up essentials or enjoy a meal. The general layout is linear, following the main road through the village.

For couples seeking a quiet and authentic rural escape, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll be able to experience the local pace of life, enjoy leisurely walks through the picturesque countryside, and savour the tranquility away from busier towns. It's a great spot for those who appreciate a slower pace and want to connect with nature.

Families looking for a peaceful holiday with opportunities for outdoor activities will also find the village centre appealing. The open spaces and nearby natural areas provide ample room for children to play and for everyone to enjoy activities like cycling or hiking.
When is the best time to go to Foltești?
The best time to visit Foltești is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October) when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.

During these periods, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking in the surrounding hills or visiting local vineyards without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter. The countryside is particularly picturesque in spring with blooming flora and in autumn with changing leaf colours.

These shoulder seasons also offer a more relaxed experience compared to the peak summer months, with fewer crowds at local attractions and more availability for accommodation.
