We came to Flekkefjord and the Grand Hotell for a family reunion/funeral/life celebration from the USA. We had a private dinner event for 20 and everything went off without a hitch. It was a perfect several days relaxing and visiting with family.

Grand Hotell Flekkefjord is highly recommended. Super friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, tastefully decorated in period style to match the historic ambience of this venerable hotel. We had the junior suite at the top of the tower. Quirky, but spacious and quiet. Grand Gastro restaurant was excellent. Flekkefjord itself is a quaint little town with plenty to do for a long weekend, and perhaps longer.

Noisy bar under hotel

The hotel and staff were very good. However, the hotel bar was open until 2 am and I was kept awake by shouting, screaming and thumping music. If the hotel wishes to maintain its status as a peaceful and civilised establishment, it should ensure that the bar closes no later than midnight and rowdy behaviour is prevented.

The room was clean but it was too noisy till very late. I manage to sleep around 2am but the noice was still ongoing. My sense is that there is a nightclub nearby as I was hearing music. Also, I was told the hotel’s parking was full and I had to look for and alternative secured but expensive parking.

God beliggenhed. Hyggelige værelser. Lidt små senge. Kedelig morgenmad.

Stort rom, men usjarmerende.
