Noisy property though, so if you're a light sleeper it'll be a problem.

I liked the self check-in and the location. I didn’t like that the shower in the bathroom is open so it can flood the bathroom which is very inconvenient.

Clean & comfortable. As expected for the price. The rooms without bathrooms are more like a private room hostel than a hotel. They are in a separate building from the restaurant (where you check in & have breakfast). And our room the bathroom was on the floor below - a bit annoying for the middle of the night. Rooms are simple but have a sink and tea provided. Beds are comfortable, clean and warm. The town is sleepy and remote. Breakfast was great, simple Icelandic fare.

"This is a very comfortable, spacious home. Very quiet. Everything you might need is here. It is, however, quite remote, 30 minutes on an unpaved road and 63km from the closest grocery store. I would recommend it as a good place to get away and relax, rather than a place which is convenient to sights. ..."
