The Brinckerhoff is an old family homestead in Fishkil, NY, originally built around 1715, and meticulously renovated in the last four years by the current owner. We stayed in the LaFayette Room, which was perfect. Everything is new - windows, fixtures, plumbing, but the feel of the place is authentic 18th century. It's beautifully furnished. Bob the owner is an engaging guy who cooks a superb breakfast. The Inn sits on a main road, not deep in the country. Easy to get to, and there's plenty to visit in the area. The Dia Museum in Beacon is a "Must See".
