The chalets are generously sized, impeccably clean, and designed to feel both refined and deeply cozy. Every detail reflects comfort and intention. The garden, outdoor fireplace, barbecue area, and jacuzzi create an atmosphere of effortless indulgence. Perfectly positioned beneath the open sky, the jacuzzi became a daily ritual of pure relaxation. Our children were especially enchanted by Kira, the gentle dog who greeted us each morning and quickly became a cherished little friend, adding warmth, joy, and an extra touch of magic to our stay. What truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. The hosts welcomed us with genuine warmth and grace,attentive without ever intruding ensuring that every moment felt seamless, thoughtful, and sincerely cared for. "Heads Up – Double Booking ExperienceI originally booked DOR because it was close to Bran Castle and offered exactly what we wanted — a spacious living room, a full kitchen, and a hot tub in each bedroom. Unfortunately, we never got to stay there. After several unanswered messages through the platform asking for check-in details, I eventually called the owner directly. He explained that the property had been double-booked and shouldn’t have been listed on VRBO at all.To his credit, he was kind and offered an alternative location. Since we had an event to attend that evening, we didn’t have time to search for another rental, so we accepted. The replacement property, however, was nowhere near the same level. It might be great for a family, but it wasn’t ideal for two couples — the walls were paper-thin, the living room and kitchen were very small, and while there was a lovely porch and outdoor area, it was too chilly and we didn’t get to enjoy it.He did graciously comp us a meal at his restaurant, which was excellent, but it didn’t make up for losing the original booking we’d been looking forward to. Overall, a disappointing situation handled politely, but still not what we reserved or expected."
