"The property was located in a quiet area of town situated on a city block of property. We wanted something off the beaten path and this was perfect! We stayed in the cottage. Bed was comfy. The antique furniture fit in nicely and gave you that step back in time feeling. There was an issue with the AC during the night and it quit working but it was tolerable as the temps outside were in the 70’s and the ceiling fan in our room kept the air moving. We loved the property. We felt it could use some minor TLC in certain areas. But we understand that also comes with old houses and their character. We did not go to the big house to check the porch out there. But it looked inviting. Breakfast at Charles Cafeteria and Grill was good. Mayberry vibe with locals meeting for coffee and small talk. Friendly staff and good food. I would stay there again if ever in that area and hope to check out the main house. We pray the owner continues to have success with this property as it’s a great opportunity for people looking for something out of the ordinary."

"The property is as you see in the pictures and description. A very quiet neighborhood not far from anything! A short 10 min ride puts you anywhere on UA. There is ample supplies to get your stay started to include supplies for grilling on the charcoal grill. The pool was nice as weather was super hot. The game room gave my family laughs and bonding time. You really can’t go wrong staying at this property as host is super responsive to any questions you may have."

"I came down to move my daughter into her apartment for her junior year at UA. The communication from the host was the best I have ever had when renting with VRBO. She was so nice and always answered within moments. The home was so spacious and clean. We had everything we needed! I will definitely be keeping this information for future trips!!! "We had a wonderful stay at this lake house and would absolutely stay here again! The property is beautiful, very clean, and exactly as described. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.We enjoyed spending time on the lake and using the kayaks. We were able to catch and release several fish in the lake! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind. The location was also very convenient—close to campus, with a Publix only about a mile away. As mentioned before, the two driveways are steep, but our group had four cars and none of us had any trouble getting up or down them.Tanner was an outstanding host throughout the entire process. He was incredibly responsive, checked in with us during our stay, and was always happy to help whenever we had a question. He also accommodated an early check-in, which we really appreciated and made our arrival much easier.Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing lake getaway!"
