"sapin" : Gîte Insolite en Rondins au Cœur de la Nature Auvergnate

Housed in the hollow of a valley, the "Sapin" gîte des Fustes en Pays du Mézenc is a log chalet entirely built by Johane.

A fuste is a dwelling built of barrels (tree trunks), cut and adjusted by hand by the fustier, so that each one perfectly fits the irregular shapes of the one in front of it, thus forming a solid and waterproof wall. After building his own log house, Johane embarked on the creation of 3 gîtes (Epicéa in 2014, Douglas in 2017 and Sapin in 2023) in order to welcome holidaymakers and make them discover the region where he grew up. Respect for nature and sustainable development are the key words of this neat home, a real cocoon of well-being in the Mézenc region.

With its partially sheltered wooden terrace facing south, it will be the ideal refuge for your holidays in the heart of nature (4000 m² of wooded land available).PGJyPg
Furnished in the style of a studio, the entire fuste is structured around a living room with kitchen area and lounge area, and a bedroom on the mezzanine (double bed 160 x 200 with memory foam). The bathroom has a shower and bathtub (with a view!). Separate toilet.
