You can view Shiprock, one of New Mexico’s most iconic landmarks from the living room window. You can explore Mesa Verde National Park, Chaco Canyon National Historical Park, Canyon de Chelley National Monument, and the Salmon & Aztec Ruins that are all an easy day-trips from Farmington, New Mexico. World class fly fishing on the San Juan River is just down the road. Travel north-east for a day trip to Durango, Silverton or Telluride and enjoy spectacular San Juan scenic byway. (Bring your toys…bikes, quads, boats, etc..) If casino’s or horse racing is your thing, you will find 2 within 6 miles of the home. For your indoor entertainment, you will find a flat screen TV in all the bedrooms but one (twin room does not have tv). Internet is available to keep up with what's going on in the outside world. This home is equipped with a washer/dryer so you need not pack a lot of clothes for an extended stay. I cannot express the attention to detail that the owner took with absolutely everything. The home was immaculate!! We were in town for my mother's memorial service and this was such a much cozier place to stay than a hotel. We were traveling with our Golden Doodle who was very comfortable as well. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. The living space is incredible. The decor is updated and fresh. The open floor plan allows lots of together time, as well as private bedroom spaces. There are lots of hiking trails in the area. We had so much fun that we kept extending our stay, and Kathy was very prompt in returning my messages. It was completely stocked with everything we could have possibly needed (thank you so much for that!) Our host also allowed us to check in a little early which was amazing to escape the heat. The house is close to town and easy to access. The only downside was the neighborhood. We tried to go on a couple of walks and there were quite a few loose dogs running around. Overall really lovely.
