Beautiful house with open floor plan and high ceilings. Large glass conservatory with plenty of space. The plot is open with a lawn. It is only 7 km to Kalmar Sound, with its beautiful shallow and long sandy beaches. Öland is rich in sights and activities for all ages. Take the opportunity to visit the southern part of the island. Here you will find Ismanstorp's Castle, Eketorp's Castle and Gråborg, among others. Öland has several good golf courses and you will find Saxnäs Golf Club only 8 kilometers away. About the same distance you will also find Öland's zoo and the amusement park with water park and zoo. Zwei Tage Arbeit sollten unbedingt in das Haus investiert werden. Einige Möbel könnten durchaus ersetzt werden. Couch ist fleckig, die Betten im Erdgeschoss sind mit sehr dünnen Matratzen unbequem. Sämtliche Matratzen im Haus sind ebenfalls fleckig. Besser nicht genau hinsehen... Das gilt eigentlich für das ganze Haus. Staub findet man überall. Vieles wirkt nicht fertig gestellt. Nicht angeschlossene Leitungen an der Wand, im (sehr niedrigen) Obergeschoß würde sich eine kleine Tür zum Technikraum ganz gut machen, statt einfach alles offen stehen zu lassen. Die anderen Türen schließen schlecht und müssten eingestellt werden, auch die des Wintergartens. Das angebende Gästehaus ist nicht nutzbar. Völlig zugestellt mit allem Möglichen und muffig. War am ersten Tag zugänglich, als wir am nächsten Tag unsere Fahrräder darin abstellen wollten, war es plötzlich verschlossen… Seltsam. Vermieter hat sich nur einmal telefonisch gemeldet. Am ersten Tag abends rund zwei Stunden nach dem vereinbarten Übergabezeitpunkt des Schlüssels. Den Schlüssel haben wir dann auf anderem Wege erhalten. Gesehen haben wir die Vermieter nie, obwohl man das aus der Buchungsbestätigung durchaus hätte erwarten können. Zumindest zur Schlüsselübergabe. Die Lage des Hauses ist ruhig und außerhalb. Das wussten wir und das wird auch nicht bemängelt! Wer Aktion sucht, ist hier Fehl am Platz. Zum Erholen aber prima. Auch als Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Öland ist sehr schön und auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Wir kommen sicherlich irgendwann wieder. Allerdings nicht in dieses Haus… Wohlgefühlt haben wir uns hier leider nicht. ##### Oliver J.
