It would have been nice if breakfast was served until 10am during the week too

We were looking for the cheapest hotel room in Toronto, for a very short few-hours overnight stay. No doubt it was more than a fair deal, good value for money. For a long, fun stay, the place is a bit sad-looking and minimalist. At the same time, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and a basic breakfast was offered.

Bed bugs and very poor response – Stay away from Globalstay units Unfortunately, our stay was seriously affected by a bed bug infestation. We found a live bed bug after our first night and immediately reported it, with photographic evidence. Despite this, no inspection or treatment was carried out while we were still staying at the property. On our final morning, we found further live bed bugs, including a baby bed bug and two mature bugs beneath the bedsheet, which we photographed and filmed. Following the bites, I developed an extensive rash and we had to take significant precautions with our clothing and belongings after returning home. The handling of the situation by Expedia was also far below the standard I would expect from such a well-known international travel company. Despite being provided with evidence of live bed bugs and being made aware of the seriousness of the situation, Expedia has offered only a partial refund equivalent to approximately 2–3 nights. We do not consider this an adequate resolution. I am particularly disappointed that Expedia continues to allow these units to be advertised on its platform despite being made aware of serious concerns regarding the accommodation. This raises serious questions about whether customer safety and public health are being given sufficient priority when properties remain available for booking. I expected much better from a company of Expedia's size and reputation. Their handling of our complaint has added considerably

We had a great stay overall. The rental process was smooth and communication was easy. The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring downtown Toronto, and the view from the apartment was beautiful. Parking was a little difficult to figure out at first, so clearer instructions would have been helpful. The only other issue was the elevator wait times. I’m not sure if this is typical, but on Saturday we waited about 25 minutes for an elevator, which was challenging. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again.
