A 6:15 a.m. departure from Post Mills Airport, VT in your hot air balloon gets this spectacular view of Vermont to the left of the river, and New Hampshire to the right. This perspective is looking essentially northwards. Farm lands and forest nestled along what was in colonial times a mighty river of commerce and transportation. When Vermont separated from NH, and to protect those assets, NH insisted the border between NH and VT would be the high water mark on the westerly side of the river.
Watching this scene my mind went on flights of fancy. Imagine, you are looking at a typical New England Church from the 18th century, while in the backdrop watching a more modern version of an 18th century flight technology!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The host was responsive to our needs, the cabin was clean and well stocked, and the overall experience was great. The cabin was so lovely, with the smell of pine as soon as you enter. A great retreat to celebrate a friend's milestone birthday .
