"Difficult to understand how people have left 5 star reviews for this property. The view out the window is nice but sadly the moment you turn around you see a shabby room which doesn’t seem particularly clean. The owner was friendly but in truth I couldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone."

"This is a very unique place to stay that oozes character. It is in a tiny community but has many options for entertainment at the hotel. The man who runs it is very responsive to needs. The place is decorated with a great sense of humor and an incredible movie theme. I used the location as a base to go in all four directions. It is do-it-yourself on meals but that suited me fine."

"Our arrival at the hostel was delayed but we called and were happy that they waited for us to check in. That done, we went to the room and one of the rooms had a horrible smell of sewage. We went back to the reception to complain and the guy said it was because the room was closed for a long and make the water run the smell disappear, which did not happen. Good quality food in the club house from a small menu. Restaurant was very nice and good but small menu. Prices are much higher than semilar places I styayed. (too high) The golf course is well designed and has potential to become good but needs serious maintenance! (not worth the greenfee as it is now!)"

"This was our 3rd stay in 2 years, each time in a garden room. The terrace is so lovely to have in addition to the room. We asked for a 'more comfy' chair and we were given one which benefitted my wife immensely. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. 1 improvement would be a shower mat as the shower floor tiles are very slippery. On our last 2 visits we have bought a shower mat in a lical shop."

"This is a combination hostel/hotel. We stayed in the hotel part which obviously shares facilities with the hostel. The hotel is great. The rooms are a good size, although need to be rearranged a bit to suit travellers with suitcases rather than backpacks. Nowhere to put luggage. The room has a coffee table and fake plant that could be replaced with luggage racks. Bathroom was a good size. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was good. Tea and coffee is available from the shared kitchen so not in the rooms, which was fine by us. Good rooftop bar with friendly staff. Great location, a short walk from the central station. We caught a train to the city centre. There was very annoying music from somewhere that started up at 7am so this meant we couldn’t have the window open unless we put up with it. But overall an excellent hotel and we would stay here again."
