    On the former Rua da Ladeira—now named Rua Gabriel Victor Monte Pereira—Gabriel Pereira, a librarian, archivist, bibliophile, historian, heritage conservationist, publicist, and writer, was born; for this reason, we are called Almoura Ladeira.
    Almoura Ladeira is located 300 metres from Praça do Giraldo, an iconic landmark of Évora. Since we're situated within the city walls, our guests can explore the entire historic district and its monuments on foot.

The host was very reponsive. We struggled with the key - needed to turn and pull toward us when opening - and she answered our call immediately when we were figuring it out. She had great recommendations as well. The location was perfect as we could walk to all the sites we wanted to see within the walled city. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything a person would need to cook even though we elected to eat out instead. The bedroom closet had tons of space for luggage. The only drawback was the parking around the apartment is for residents only. But there is a free public parking lot about a 10 minute walk and our rental car was parked there for 2 nights with no issues.

Great location, cute apartment, no parking

Enjoyed this apartment for our stay in lovely Evora, as part of our month-long driving trip thru Spain and Portugal.. Close to all the sites. Well stocked, modern appliances. Only concerns: listing is not accurate about parking. There is limited short-term parking for check-in and check-out two blocks away, but none was available when we arrived on a Saturday. After check-in, car must be moved to a location 15 minute walk away.

Host cancelled reservation

This host, with less than a few days notice, emailed me that there was some confusion in my booking and that he would not honor the reservation. He started as apologetic and then turned hostile. He had my money for months and I had a confirmation number and the reservation showed as “booked” for months. He refunded the money but sounded like he was doing me a favor. If you want the excitement of making alternative arrangements at the last minute in a foreign country, I urge you to book this property.

Great Location!

This apartment was perfect in so many ways- location, amenities, host's attention to name a few. We were able to park our car during our stay and walk everywhere. There were many food and shopping options as well. It was great!
