This 2-bedroom cabin is perfect for your escape to Evening Shade. Nestled in a charming setting, this superb property offers a tranquil retreat for guests. With 3 queen beds in the cozy bedrooms and a pull out sofa, you and your family/friends will have a restful night's sleep. The bathroom features a refreshing shower, shower essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, as well as plush towels and a hair dryer for your convenience. In the living room space, there's even a sofa bed for extra comfort. You'll find everything you need here, from fresh ground locally roasted coffee to a relaxing hot tub. We are conveniently located 4 miles from the Evening Shade Square, 4.5 miles from the Cherry Farm Event Barn in Poughkeepsie, 14 miles from Cave City, 17 miles from Ash Flat, and 28 miles from Hardy. We think our place will help you experience everything Evening Shade has to offer as we are located near Flat Creek and many Strawberry River access points like the Strawberry River bridge, Sims Town, and Molly Barnes. This has been one of my favorite stays. Its an amazing cabin, gracious host, and had lots of little touches to make us feel welcome. The hot tub was great on a cold evening of rain. Will be recommending to anyone looking for a getaway

Charming and Peaceful Getaway

Flat Rock Cabin was the most peaceful and charming place to spend our anniversary. The beautiful views, charming decor, and relaxing environment were remarkable, but the incredible attention to detail shown by the host made this cabin like no other. We can’t wait to stay again!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was over the top gorgeous. Everything about the cabin was cozy and comfortable. Location was just what we were looking for. Internet was fast. Host was super sweet and accommodated us perfectly. Great patio with grill, swing, hot tub and breath taking sunset. All in all 10 out of 10 experience. Thank you!

This place is fantastically remote and private. The pictures do a pretty great job showing this place, but to see it in person is even better! Looking to get away from it all? This is your place.Be sure to have the directions and the full address before you go. You cannot rely on a pin drop on a map to get you there (you'll incorrectly drive down a long, rock road for nothing). If you get into the area without fully knowing exactly how to get there, you may not have cell phone reception, and you'll have to drive away to get a signal to get it sorted out with the owner, Wyndi.On the plus side, yes, it is that remote that you have no cell service. However, the cabin has excellent WiFi.This place is a real gem. Wyndi was great to work with and she provided all kinds of snacks, from prepackaged to fresh items. If you're a coffee snob, bring some good coffee for the drip coffee maker. There was some Maxwell House there when we visited.

Absolutely great place to stay! The view is great! It’s secluded and beautiful! We saw a momma deer and her two babies, got to watch the dog set in, the hot tub was great! The cabin is so cute! Great communication with the owner for anything we needed! So cozy and personalized! We will be back!

River Oasis

We had a wonderful time swimming and tubing the Strawberry River & floating the Spring River. The cabin was decorated beautifully & the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. We also enjoyed the fire pit & night sky. Thank you, Wyndi for being so warm & welcoming! We had a great time &:are still amazed we saw a roadrunner!
