Exceeded expectations
The photos do not do this lovely cottage justice. We traveled as an extended family of 7 and this cottage was perfect for us. The main level has a queen bedroom, a twin bedroom and a full bath. The upper level has a queen room that faces the woods, a double twin room that faces the lake and a full bath. The kitchen has everything you will need and there is a charcoal grill. Annie, the owner, was always quick to reply to questions and made a personal visit while we were there to ensure all was well. She even installed a small fire pit in the back yard at our request! (We took our own folding chairs which we also used on the deck.) The deck faces the lake and is a lovely place to watch the sun coming up behind the lake in the morning. The screened porch is a great place to play one of the board games stocked at the cottage. There were beach towels available for taking down to swim. The lake is across a small road that has very little traffic. The small "beach" is very rocky, so take water shoes. There is a nice dock for sitting or jumping in or laying around. Lake Placid and Ausable Chasm are not far drives and this is a great location for exploring the Adirondack region. In short, there was nothing missing from this cabin and we truly enjoyed our stay and it's wonderful owner. Thank you, Annie! -The Moore and Paladino families
