Escalante Pioneer Home Page

  • *Please note that VRBO is having an issue on their website showing our property has a pool but we DO NOT HAVE A POOL and have contacted VRBO about this issue multiple times*. Spacious home in Escalante, Utah. Central to various hikes in Grand Staircase monument, Bryce Canyon and other nearby National Parks. We also encourage you to check out the less well known hikes in areas of Boulder that are a short drive- the adventures are endless! Great views to enjoy from the four patios in the evening in this quiet neighborhood.
    We just completed remodeling this pioneer home with brand new paint and flooring throughout! It is a home that has been in our family for 6 generations since it was built in 1905. We love to hike the nearby trails and appreciate your stay as the funds are going to restoring the home and to keeping it family owned. We have also recently purchased a brand new game table for guests to enjoy while in the home with Foosball, pool and air hockey! Lots of other board games and movies come ready. We hope you enjoy your stay!

    The home has been updated with central air and heating, as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. We do have a fridge, but please note there is no dishwasher or ice maker.

This house was amazing and we loved the history that came along with it. Over 100 years old and it has stood the test of time. The house was clean and well organized. A perfect place to stay while visiting Utah.

Great assortment of board games and activities for kids. Washer and dryer were great and had all the cookware we needed in the kitchen. Super clean, and a great place to recharge in between hikes and adventures.

We stayed here as a home base for hiking in Bryce and the Grand Staircase. The area is so unique and the people were incredibly kind! The history of the house add a whole other element of intrigue of the area!!! We will be back!

House accommodated a family of 5 comfortably. The house has 1 bathroom but hot water heater worked amazing enough for all of us to get a hot shower after a long day of hiking. Sharing a bathroom was challenging but we made it work. We love the fact the house was centrally located to 3 National parks capital reef, escalante and bryce canyon. The longest drive was about an hour an a half to capital reef but the drive there was amazing. Hwy 12 is beautiful and its worth the drive. The house provided everything we needed. I would stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay at the unique pioneer house. The house is centrally located and convenient to many great hiking trails. The house is well kept- very clean and well stocked with everyday supplies. We would love to stay again if we return to Escalante.

Very Comfortable Classic Home

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Escalante. The house is walking distance to restaurants in town but in a very quiet neighborhood. We had an easy drive to Bryce Canyon National Park as well as close access to Grand Escalante and Escalante Petrified Forest State Park and Posey Lake. The beds were very comfortable and the backyard was nice to relax in and unwind at the end of the day. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to the area!
