We stayed over Christmas break, and even got engaged at the resort.
The staff were accommodating to my requests for a birthday surprise for my partner, and always went above and beyond to make our time away memorable.
The food at the resort was also incredible, each meal was delicious and fresh with local produce.
Now to the downsides: the resort is 30 minutes away from the main town.
Although the food was amazing, it was also expensive.
If you book restaurants outside of the resort, add an additional $60 for the transport to the cost of your meal.
Despite advising staff that the robes were not replaced in our villa, it took 3 days and numerous follow ups to actually get some new clean ones.
The 'shop' is ridiculously expensive, but unless you can get into town or want to add $60 for a shuttle to buy stuff cheaper, you have no option but to buy from there if you run out.
They request that the air conditioner is only run when you are in the villa. Although i understand that the property runs on generators, it was exceptionally hot when we stayed there and the air conditioner is only in the bedroom.
We also had a storm when we stayed there, where our roof leaked into the villa. Be prepared for lizards/gechos to come into the villa aswell, every single night.
Although overall we had a memorable trip, and an experience we will never forget.
You can tell the staff are paid poorly (they did tell us this) and walked in on one of the female managers (Leila) yelling at a staff member
