Good weekend stay

We had a very good time and the location can't be beat. It's a spacious home with plenty of room to move around. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean and well stocked with essentials. We enjoyed the pool table and cozy fireplace. And the back porches overlooking the river were fantastic. The downsides are the hot tub was a little funky and the the downstairs could have used a better pass with the vacuum. Also, it took over an hour of trying before the upstairs oven finally kicked on. We think it might have had air in the gas line but once it finally started working then it was fine. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Park Hollow- More bad than good. Would not stay there again.

The nicest thing I can say is that the house is large. Large, dirty, grown up vegetation in front and back yard. Has a beautiful running creek in back we had hoped to enjoy. The grass was so tall we couldn't enjoy at all. The floors in the house were filthy and if you didn't wear your shoes, your feet were black . We cleaned the mold off a shower curtain ourselves. Rat droppings in kitchen every morning. 1 roll of toilet tissue in each bathroom for 8 adults and a toddler for 6 nights, and one roll of paper towels. There was a washer and dryer which was a plus. The carpets were stained in the bedrooms and downstairs. The beds are old and worn out and all need replaced. Nice porches but screens are torn. This could have been a nice experience but this place needs some major cleaning and maintenance. Very dissapointed and would not recommend. I wouldn't feel bad at all for asking for partial refund.

Unclean

The property was not cleaned when we got there. Floors were not vacuumed, grill that we wanted to use to cook dinner was rusted out and unusable, the hot tub was dirty and the cover to it had not been cleaned in months. It was completely covered with pollen. Porch areas also not cleaned. The chairs and tables were filthy. One of the kitchen lights was out making it dark in there. We had to use a lamp to make the cooking visible. No local number to call so we had to wait on the phone for over an hour to get someone to attend to it. They sent cleaners to clean while we are all preparing dinner. They cleaned briefly because we didn’t have two hours for them to make it acceptable. Floors still not vacuumed, dog hair all over, entertainment area (stereo system) had not been wiped down in months. Apparently, there are mice as there are traps and noise repellents all over. The pool table area was musty and unfinished.

Porter Thanksgiving

Location...Location! It was a large cabin, we had 9 in our group. The size worked out for us. It was very clean. For me, it's the small things that are added in at a place we stay at. There was 5 closets and NOT one had NOT ONE hanger to hang clothing on. 3 bathrooms, the one we stayed in on the main floor with the large garden tub,had no hand soap. There should be more inside lighting that is brighter. The rugs should be taped down on the corners, that is an accident waiting to happen. More lights on the outside by the front door area, definitely need lights on the steps going down to the fire pit. Nice having two kitchens, need to be stocked with more things, roasting pans, oven mitts for both kitchens. Again, more lighting, maybe under the cabinets would be awesome to light up the whole area. Overhead cabinets blocked the kitchen lights when eating at the bar. The ceiling fan in the front bedroom with the fish lamps. The chain does not work so you can not have the fan on without the lights being kept on. Needs fixed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, having Thanksgiving dinner at the big table. Loved the knoty pine wood ceilings and walls. Gives the whole cabin feeling. We enjoyed our stay very much. We are from Florida, we go to the mountains as often as we can.

Check In Issues

We got no email instructions to check in. Have to drive to main road(weak signal) to call VRBO but they did not have the instructions either. We waited 10 minutes and VRBO called back with the code to retrieve the key. Knowing that there was little to no cell service at the property, should this have been communicated with us 3-4 hours before check-in? Or on the day of check in? Half the washed towels on the shelves were found to have long women hairs on them.

We stayed here right after Christmas and it was a great getaway right on the river. I liked the fact that it had 2 kitchens. I would stay here again

Friend vacation

The place wasn’t clean

There was dust all over the counter and furniture and window sills. Dead rat in a trap, old cut toe nails. I have pictures. The overall experience is what you make of it.

Early birthday trip with seven friends, the house was awesome an the location was amazing.

Super easy when It came to renting the property. Love the two kitchens we were there for three nights and cook everyday. The upstairs carpeted screened in porch was beautiful. The Pac-Man arcade game along with the pool table was a winner. Check out was simple and painless. The entire weekend was awesome, and at the end the checkout process was painless!

disappointment

i loved that the cabin held 10 of us. But the cabin was dirty and hadn't been cleaned. There was hair in showers from previous guests, the refrigerator was dirty and had to be cleaned out by us before using it, and there was cobwebs thru out the cabin, several of the chairs inside and on the porch were missing pieces and dangerous to try and sit in.

Poorly maintained cabin and horrible checkin experience

We drove all the way from Miami and found out the key to the door was not working. Spent close to an hour to talked to property manager and reset the lock code. But after entering into the cabin, it was not cleaned properly, bed spreads, comforters were smelling bad,spiders were inside the cabin, lanai screens were torn, hot tub was dirty. Called the manager and they sent cleaners to clean and sent new bed spreads and comforters and waived off cleaning fees. Overall there service after we called them was good but could have been better before we arrived there. Beautiful location and beautiful cabin but poorly maintained.

It’s was a great space for our group on vacation! The Cabin has enough space for everyone to Ave their own privacy, and there is enough to do at the cabin such as a fire pit, hot tub, and creek to be entertained at the cabin all day. The location is also close to a lot of activities that appeal to all different ages which was great because we were traveling with three young kids. The location was a little challenging to get to, despite the handwritten directions because there are multiple roads named the same so definitely pay close attention to the directions they send for your arrival. Also, I typically find that most rentals don’t have enough towels and this place had plenty! Each bathroom was stocked and we were very happy that we didn’t need to do laundry while we were there.

Nice, but needs some TLC

The cabin is very spacious and we had a great family vacation staying there. However there are some definite cleaning issues (dust thick on shelves, dishes and utensils not clean, spiderwebs), organization issues (kitchen with everything thrown in a drawer/cabinet so hard to find anything- only had 9 forks for 10 person cabin), and some maintenance issues (kitchen cabinets not shutting, plug in not attached to the wall all the way, and a burner that would not light).

Great vacation home!

This is the second time our family has stayed at Park Hollow. We had a hiccup with the autolock not working on the front door the first night; however, Vacasa was SO helpful and quickly resolved the problem. We look forward to stay here again.

A Time of Remembrance

The cabin was quite homey and conveniently located which made our time there so enjoyable. The swing on the back porch made the many conversations, following our meals at the large dinning room table, a regular gathering place. The creek was so inviting, one of the grandchildren even decided to sit in the creek before using the hot tub. The management company was courteous, professional, and quite responsive to few minor issues we incurred when we first arrived. Thank you for everything and for making our gathering together for the Celebration of Life for Rev, Jennings A, Neeld, Jr. He was, our father, Pop, Poppa, preacher, step-brother, uncle, and friend.

Property pictures are not current and up to date

The cabin in general was fine. More attention to the kitchen cleanliness should be taken. Beds are not comfortable at all. Space is perfect for larger groups. However the grounds of this property have been poorly maintained for many months And the online pictures are no where near accurate.

Nice home with plenty of room.

The home was nice. Great for fishing but not easy entrance to stream for children. Plenty of parking with covered entrance which is where the children played and road bikes on concrete. Stairs a little step for small children but with the lower level the families were able to stay together.
