Travel to Southwest Montana and enjoy the great outdoors where “you can swing your elbows and your mind” with plenty of open spaces and experience a town ranked as one of the “Top 10 Cowboy towns in America”! A little bit about us and our home- We are seasoned property owners with one of the top rated vacation rentals in Southwestern Montana and we have taken great care to make sure our guests that come to enjoy Montana have a wonderful experience! Placed on 5 beautiful acres, guests and pets are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this 2500 sf fully furnished, 3 bedroom/ 2.5 bath/2 full kitchen partially air conditioned Log Home in Ennis. The perfect home for fly fisherman, outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, skiers, hikers or families seeking some quality rest and relaxation our guests can enjoy amazing Big Sky sunrises and sunsets while viewing the mountain range from 3 decks! The main/master bedroom has a king-sized bed and window air conditioner while the loft has a queen sized bed (with room ac unit) and the basement is exposed with windows and a door to the backyard with 3 bunk beds (2 fulls and 4 twins) (comfortable for sleeping 10 people in our home!). The basement also has a full kitchen! The exquisitely decorated family room with wood pellet burning stove is great for family time and a good movie. The loft has a king bed, desk to work, TV, couch and side chairs. The kitchen is perfect for cooking gourmet meals as it is equipped with stainless steel appliances and all cooking utensils. We also have a propane gas grille! Situated only 5 miles out of Ennis, guests can enjoy all of what Montana has to offer! Dogs and horses are welcome! We were very comfortable and close enough to town to go eat ot have a beer anytime we felt like it. This was a lovely place to stay where we got to see lots of wildlife around! Antelope galore and moose sightings by Ennis Lake! Our 4 legged partner in crime loved the property and being able to play fetch in the yard everyday! He also loved watching the horses across the street from the front door! Andy was super responsive before booking, after booking and upon arriving. Quickly answered questions and was available for anything we needed! The only ”downfall” to this place is there is no privacy between the master bedroom and the door to go downstairs or to the main bathroom. If your staying with a group of close friends or family like we were this won’t be a big problem! The location is super convenient to be far enough away from a lot of activities if you crave quietness but is a short ride away from in town where there are lots of good places to eat and explore. ##### Amanda G. Conversation with Andy (owner) was easy. His response was very quick. We went there to spend xmas with our daughter who lives in Ennis. We had christmas on christmas eve with her and husband. The house was clean and very comfy! Andy and his son came to the property, he showed me his train car he will be restoring. My Dad had a Kaboose in the yard, we had something in common. We looked at several locations to spend xmas in Montana, could not be happier with the entire process. Extremely happy with our decision to stay at this property. if there was a negative, it was the drive from Pittsburg New Hampshire to Ennis Montana. That was our choice!! This is a treasure of a property. The pictures don’t quite capture the sense of amazement you’ll feel on opening the door and realizing you hit the jackpot of vacation rentals: soaring ceilings, sunlight, views from every window, truly beautiful artwork, and the most unique collection of lamps – something I’ve never seen in a vacation rental and truly works of art on their own. We spent a lot of time looking at the collection of beautiful things that make this home seem like a featured property in Sunset Magazine. Excellent linens, an abundance of comfortable pillows, plentiful cookware and utensils, and a cool Montana breeze that is best felt with doors and windows open in the early evening, as the sun sets above the distant mountains. Andy is a gracious and communicative host who answered our questions and gave some excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. Nearby Ennis Lake is a lovely place to while away the afternoon heat, with a sandy beach, picnic tables and a few shade trees (it’s a BLM-managed property, so no requirement for a Montana Conservation License to enjoy). Madison Foods grocery store is comparable to a midsize urban market. Deemo’s Meats, right next door has an excellent selection of prime beef and homemade jerky (splurge on the ribeye steaks – you won’t be disappointed). Home and host have earned the excellent reviews.
