"The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores. We were first directed to use the showers in the...

Top Englishtown Hotel Reviews

Travels Inn Victoria County

8/10 Good

"We needed to check in later than the usual hours. Staff was extremely helpful, and even walked us to our room, which we hadn't been able to find in the dark. Beautiful view from the windows."

Comfort Inn Sydney - Cape Breton

10/10 Excellent

"The rooms have clearly been updated recently, and the room I got was in excellent condition. It was clean, quiet, with an extra comfortable bed, and great amenities. I stayed for three nights and enjoyed every evening. Parking was great and having a view of the water was lovely as well. This was a great location as; less than a 5-minute drive from a conference I was attending and 5-10 minutes from lots of restaurants and shops in downtown Sydney."

Auberge Gisele's Inn

8/10 Good

"Solid spot for a one night stay on the way to Cabot. The room was fine, the pillows were way too thick, front desk staff were friendly, restaurant was handy, although, they kept winning out of items and were slow to replenish. The breakfast wait staff were very friendly. Overall good and would recommend."

Holiday Inn Sydney - Waterfront by IHG

8/10 Good

"The view from our room was amazing and could see the largest Fiddle ever. The beds were very comfortable. However, the shower head provided little function and needed to be replaced or increase water pressure. The breakfast was very good and our server, Carol was friendly and efficient. It is best to park by the front door and not the two lower parking lots as getting your luggage in can be troublesome. Friendly front deck. We enjoyed our stay as right out the front door you can walk to several nice restaurants, shops and boardwalk."
