Beautiful space RIGHT on the Gulf
Had a wonderful stay! Location was great and super secluded. Felt like our own private resort. Only negative was that we could hear EVERY footstep of the people upstairs. Would definitely stay here again!

Mother-Daughter weekend
My adult daughter and I had our first-ever mother-daughter getaway at this lovely beachfront condo. It is on the lower level, stepping out onto a porch with a lovely courtyard view and the sounds of the ocean waves. Just a few short steps and we were on the beach with the gorgeous, turquoise waters of the Gulf before us. The beach was busy as it was a holiday weekend, but not nearly as busy as the packed public beaches nearby. We found lots of shells and enjoyed seeing boats, parasailors, and dolphins from the beach chairs provided for use. Nearby, the Sandbar Tiki Grille had delicious shrimp, while the Beachcomber Trading Post offered great coffee and a nice breakfast menu with tables along the waters of Lemon Bay. We used the condo kitchen to prepare easy meals as well, with groceries from Winn-Dixie nearby. We immensely enjoyed our time at this condo and would love to come back someday. Thank you so much!

Wonderful getaway
We loved the property, it had everything we needed and was neat and clean. The area is wonderful, the beach right out the door was beautiful - we watched the sunset every night over the ocean. I would have given it a higher rating except for the fact that we could not reach the property owner with a minor question. I called three different phone numbers with no luck. I left multiple messages and got no reply. It concerned me because if the isssue had been a major one I don't know where we would have turned next. For that reason, we will not be staying there again, even though the property is exceptional.

The property was just as we expected, no disappointments and a wonderful area. The only issue we had was the first day we had trouble with internet and couldn't get help. It did not end up being a big problem because it was not the connection, but the service to the area that was spotty that day. I would return some day if available as it was a wonderful spot on a wonderful key and we have more to explore in the area.

Fantastic VRBO on the beach!
We enjoyed staying here for one week. This is a beautiful place located on a private beach next to the gulf. It is beautifully decorated in a beach theme. It was very clean and quiet. This is located near several great restaurants. The owner Pat was very helpful with any questions we had. We look forward to staying again next year! We give this VRBO 10 stars!

Great Place Just Steps from Secluded Beach
Clean, well-appointed condo just steps from peaceful Englewood Beach. This ground floor condo is perfect for a couple who wants to get away. It has everything you need, including the coldest AC we’ve ever experienced. The owner is also super responsive. We loved the short path to the beach through the vegetation and the absolutely gorgeous sunsets. The beach offered sightings of manatees and dolphins and many shark teeth. Great local restaurants are a short walk/drive away. In our opinion, the only downside to the area was the lack of shops. There’s only one and it is pricey.

It was a great location, however, we were very disappointed that there is no ocean view from inside the unit or sitting outside (as the advertised pictures show) due to the growth of the vegetation. You can hear the ocean, you just can't see it. Also you will hear your upstairs neighbors even if they are just walking around. Our neighbors had 2 little ones so it sounded like they were playing basketball the whole time. When we arrived, the unit wasn't cleaned but once we got ahold of the owner, she quickly got that resolved. The unit was well equipped and did have a lot of the little things that made our stay nice.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the complex, it was perfect for 2! We met some great neighbors and we love the slow pace of the town. The beaches are beautiful and we can’t wait to visit again!

Cute ocean front condo
Up to date, ocean front condo. Beautiful beach. Listing as described. Communication was great. Only negative thing I want to say is that if you are a light sleeper this place isn’t for you. You can hear most conversations from the next unit from inside and you can hear every step made in the upstairs unit. It sounded like moving furniture all hours of the day. It probably didn’t help they had 6-8 people over everyday for a large portion of the day and into the evening. Overall listing is as described. I only mention the sound issues for those who are light sleepers and book based on reviews.

Just Right!
I grew up in Englewood but moved to Texas 23 years ago. I’m pretty picky when it comes to places to stay on the beach - this one is just right 👍 Just like the pictures show you are are steps from the water, you can easily and safely leave your things on the beach while you go up to the house to use the restroom or grab something more to eat or drink, etc. The unit is clean, decorated nicely, and has everything you need for your stay. We will definitely book here again for our next stay 👍

A Wonderful Retreat
We can’t wait to arrange our schedules to return to this little Piece of Paradise! The beach was just steps away from the front porch. There were only a few neighbors that were on the beach with us. It was very private and just far enough away from the public beaches that we only had a few people walking past looking for shells. We could walk to dinner or use the golf cart shuttles to get us anywhere on Manasota Key. There were many excellent restaurants and bars close by. The sunsets are an attraction that every vacationer attempts to see each evening before or after their meals. While everyone was struggling to find parking at the public beach we were able to return to our own private view of this Spectacular Event that only God could provide us.. Thank you Pat for allowing us to use your Amazing cottage. We will be back!

Great Place!
My husband and I love this location and you can’t beat the price! Just steps from the oceanfront and our condo was quaint and with everything we needed. The king bed is very comfortable which was a great plus and the owners and property manager were responsive to the couple of questions I had during our stay. Would stay again!

Great Beach Vacation
This is a wonderful place to relax. Just steps to the beach. I liked being so close ti the beach. It made it so nice for evening swims or walks. Clean & quiet, not over crowded ever. The condo itself was great! Very comfortable & cozy. It was a perfect place to sit on the porch in the rocking chairs in the mornings and watch the lizards play. There are so many places to eat and all of them are top notch. I highly recommend condo #2 to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation, steps to the beach and fantastic dining!

Hi Donald, I'm sorry, but I do not understand. Nowhere in our information do we mention no children. Each unit is individually owned and we have no control over guests in other units, nor would we discourage children enjoying the beautiful beach in our front yard. I believe you have us confused with another property, but I'm certainly happy that you otherwise enjoyed your stay. Warmest Regards to you!

Prime spot!
What a wonderful place! Anything the accomodations lack, the location and proximity to the beach make up for. Place is cute and well-equipped with kitchen items and beach gear. Walls are thin, so keep in mind you have neighbors all around.

It’s not a five-star hotel 🏨 if that’s what you’re looking for ..This place is just comfy cozy 🏖The beach was beautiful 🏖🎇! Great spot!
Loved, loved the location with private beach access right out the door! Unit was clean and the coastal decorating gave it a great vibe! Tricky to get laundry done as washer/dryer in separate bldg shared by many, but we managed. Would love to stay here again!

Perfect Get-Away-From-Winter Spot
We couldn't have been more content tucked away in this secluded spot. The description and photos are representative of the property and were just what we were looking for. The cottage was very peaceful and quiet with the beach right out your door. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs listening to the waves. Everything was exactly as listed. I would love to visit again when the red tide isn’t present and a little cooler outside.

Great stay with a refrigerator hiccup
The property is amazing but we didn't have a refrigerator the first 2 days. The property manager worked hard to get that fixed, which I appreciated... Just a little inconvenient with 2 kids, and I didn't realize there was an issue until I arrived late. That said once that was resolved the stay was great and the property was awesome in a great location.

Watch out for the red tide.
Watch out for the red tide. I know there’s nothing that the property owners could do about the red tide dead fish and smell, but it sure ruined our time on the beach. The only other complaint that we had was the DEF refrigerator, not the freezer, but the refrigerator would not keep anything cold and constantly ran and made a noise that would keep you awake at night. We called the property manager with no results. So with the red tide the rain and the refrigerator we cut our vacation short by four days and left and went home. I would not be afraid to use this location again, But I would certainly check on the location of the red tide.

The best part of this rental is the short walk to the beach. However the internet and cell service is terrible. The WiFi extender in the unit was not working. The outdoor shower broke and the owner did not respond to our messages.

Perfect location and beaches, Communication lacking.
This location is IDEAL for people with kids. The house is right on the beach and it's a 30 second walk if you forget something. It was so safe there, we'd let our boys (6 and 9), walk back up to the house and take a rest from the beach, all by themselves. The house was clean and comfortable. It's nothing fancy, but great for our needs, which was a nice safe place to sleep and a kitchen to prepare food for our kids. All the kitchen supplies you need to make pretty much anything are there. The front yard area was amazing for my kids to chase lizards and just go and play with shells and sand. We felt very safe letting them play there and could see them right out the window with a nice ocean view in the background :) The beach: the water was like a lake, the waves were so gentle. It was perfect to float around in and safe enough for our toddler to float around in her safety vest. We found lots of shark teeth, conch shells, and saw a giant tortoise, dolphins, sting rays, birds galore and even a manatee all right by the house! The sand was nice and there was little sea weed. The surrounding town is small and quaint, with several nice restaurants in walking distance. I have two complaints: The internet IS NON EXISTANT. It just doesn't work. That should he taken off the amenities list becauseI see from other reviews that im not the only one with issues. We called about it and they said they'd "reboot" but never checked in with us again and nothing changed. Also, there is extremely little cell service, so you really can't even use a hot spot. We were basically without internet or phones for 5 days. Super inconvenient when you have to drive to a restaurant every time you need to Google something. Also, the fridge was broken when we arrived but no one told us ahead of time. We put our groceries in there late at night without knowing, and when we woke up, everything had gone bad. The fridge did not get fixed until our last night there. It would have been nice for someone to let us know more info, bring us a mini fridge or a nice cooler and ice or something! I understand things break, that's no problem. Just make up for it for your guests. When they came to fix the fridge, I met the property manager. She was very sweet but I just saw her for a second. Even with my two complaints, I'd love to come back again. This was my favorite beach/location I've ever stayed at. I'd like to book again in the fall, hopefully the internet will be fixed by then.

Highly recommend - great place to unplug and getaway!
Positives: This is a great place to unwind, be close to the beach and experience nature! Unit is comfortable and pretty clean. Beach is steps away as advertised. Swam with dolphins, manatees, fish, and loggerhead turtles! Area has some restaurants but if you're staying for a week, you'll want to bring some of your own food/supplies. We liked that it was not overly commercialized and was really laid-back. Property manager (Lisa) was very accessible and responsive, even came to our rescue when we accidentally lost our key! +++ Negatives: WiFi did not work at all inside of our unit. You can connect (sometimes) to the network but provides no bandwidth to even load a web page. Cell phone coverage (on T-Mobile) was also minimal and spotty. BBQ grills did not work and washing machine was out of order. If you're looking for a place to unwind, relax, and be closer to nature - this is it! Already making plans to return next year or maybe even later this year!
