Quick anniversary getaway
We booked last minute for a beach getaway on our anniversary. The unit is a little dated but very clean and well kept. It is right on the beach but the unit faces the street. There is a small porch on the side with a beach view. The location is great and only a short walk to Stump Pass Beach State Park. Overall we had a great stay here.

Spring Break 2024
We chose this house as it was right on the beach and we wanted a convenient stay for one night before we moved locations to stay with family. The location was amazing! Moving around the area was very easy. We enjoyed shark tooth hunting, the sunset views, the color of the water, and walking to Stump Pass Beach for a nice walk with the family. My only piece of feedback would be the hide-a-way bed. When we rolled it out it seemed damp. We laid a few blankets for the kids to sleep on. Otherwise, we highly recommend and plan to be back in the area again.

The Beach is Great
The beach is great, easy access which is the big draw. The house is a bit tired and furnishings rather Spartan. f Furnishing is the living room consisted of two kitchen table chairs, a couch that is well past it prime and a bean bag(yuck). Hardware for the locks to the screened in porch were non functional and hardware lose and falling off. Screened in porch had a nice view of ocean-sunsets were spectacular, Screens on porch had multiple tears and a wasp nest in the opening were the screen porch pulls away from the soffit. Living room still has visible drywall patch scars on wall and ceiling. A menagerie of glass ware and dishes kept in draws that hadn't been cleaned in awhile. If you come for the beach you wont be disappointed. If the owner is interested I have video and picture of what I shared.

We enjoyed the property. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We were able to walk to local restaurants where we met friends. While the space was clean, it could have used some maintenance such as new shower curtain and rod, repairing the latch on the lanai screen door and repairing the lanai screens. Overall, we were satisfied.

Water leak onto sofa so sofa wet and could only sit on one side. Living room sparsely furnished with sofa (only 1/2 usable) and 2 kitchen table chairs in entire room so uncomfortable to watch TV or sit and read or relax. Small patio provided limited side ocean view and high top table did not allow room for regular chairs to sit and read or enjoy looking at the ocean.

I enjoyed my stay here. Place was just as advertised. Great views and comfort is always a requirement for me on vacation. The bed could have been a bit better. But, it wasn't that bad. Enjoyed seeing Dolphins play in the gulf. As well as seeing a Stingray breach the surface. So cool to see. If you are in to shelling and shark tooth hunting. This is definitely the place! Manisota Key was definitely a Beautiful place for my sons wedding. Will definitely stay at this unit again. Although I will get the one that directly overlooks the gulf. Great neighborhood and plenty of activities for your family to enjoy. The host was on top of all communications. I highly recommend staying here.

Great Place
This place was a perfect fit for my wife and I as well as our 7 and 12 year old boys. From fishing to shark tooth hunting and just enjoying the sunset...it was awesome! Very clean with all we needed for a quick weekend getaway.

I'm very unset with our stay. When we just arrived, i first noticed there was mold growing on the ceiling. That really upset me because i have children with allergies and mold is a extremely health hazardous to humans. The couch was so filthy and the pull out bed in the couch was extremely uneven and uncomfortable. We had to go to Walmart and buy new sheets and blankets for all the beds. And the king bed blanket had a hole and was super worn out. I'm very unset with our stay. When we just arrived, i first noticed there was mold growing on the ceiling. I noticed the next morning ants crawling all over the kitchen and some weird droppings I kept wiping off the counters every day. Later, I saw cockroach crawling around my avacodos! Gross! And my baby was not allowed to crawl during the whole stay because his was get instantly black. But we tried to remain positive and spent as much time outdoors. The location was very convenient and super nice with two young children. This place is not a bad rental but it definitely needs some love and attention. If the house gets a light remodel, some newer furniture (something that doesn't look 100 years old) and pest control, it would have been in much better shape.

The unit was clean, had basic necessities. It does have lounge chairs, beach umbrella that you can take to the beach. The beach towels are located by the TV in a basket. The unit had a screened in patio to the side with a beach view. This unit was just what we needed for the weekend.

The access to the ocean is the primary plus for this property. It was advertised as having 2 beds. It does not. One is actually a very uncomfortable pull out—not a bed. The unit is spacious enough and the little screened in deck is nice. There aren’t many dining/shopping options nearby.

We love Manasora Key. This is on the beach, with a perfect balcony to watch the surf! Plenty of room inside. It is upstairs so you do have to be somewhat healty...we loved it for the exercise. Everything is close, including Stump Pass.

We loved this little "apartment" style property. We have no complaints. If you read the reviews before booking, then you will know exactly what you're renting. This property is a back unit but does have a very nice outside, screened in deck with ocean view. Love that it was screened in. We enjoyed this deck every day/evening we were there. Yes, it's on the side of the building and not the back side big deck but it's still really cool to have. I don't understand the negative reviews on cleanliness.. this place was absolutely clean. Yes, the bed is two beds put together. It wasn't all that bad though. We slept great. Plenty of big pillows and extra linens to go with. Nice big warm blanket to snuggle on the couch. The price is perfect for this property All in all, we would stay again if we were coming to the area.

This condo is on the verge of being great. Nice view, and large unit. It came with no amenities, no salt and pepper, no coffee, etc. I know these aren't requirements, but they have been welcome at other places. There was no mention of the fact that it is two stories of steps to get there. The Living Room was equipted with one 3 seat couch, and two tiny end tables. Two Dining chairs had been pulled in from the kitchen to take up space. I had asked the host to call me, so I could point out issues he would want to fix without putting them into review. He said he would, but didn't. Communication was poor before arrival also

Not what we were expecting
First of all, I would like to start this out with this was a very important weekend for us, as we got engaged. We booked this trip months ago and really liked what we saw from the pictures posted from the host. However, once we arrived, we could see very quickly the place was not much like the photos. There was missing furniture, missing blinds from the window/door treatments, no rugs anywhere in the house, and the sliding glass door did not shut or lock properly. We actually had to fix the slider ourselves in order to get it shut. The bedroom had two twin bed frames pushed together to create a king size. That was uncomfortable and we ended up making a palette on the floor in the living room instead. The shower head was awful, and the bath is rusted and could use a deep clean. The back of the house where you walk out to the beach was photographed with a fire pit lounge chairs etc. what we saw was dirty, old, and maybe not used for a long time?...I am not sure....but we could not use that area at all. We have pictures of these issues but what I am most upset about is we don't get this special weekend back and what we paid for is not what we got.

So nice to have the beach steps away from you.
This was a great location for our last minute booking. Was so nice and quiet. I have never seen so little traffic on the street. The most amazing thing was for the beach to be on the one side of the house. Loved that we parked under the house in the Florida Sun, was nice to have a cool car to run down to each bar and restaurant. The place had a great TV and the bed was comfortable. It may not have all the bell and whistles of some places but it was a great place to decompress.

The only difference with the unit is we repositioned the living room furniture in a better location so you can see the Gulf of Mexico. We upgraded the patio furniture. Our unit is always immaculate, we inspect every unit, so your response about cleanliness is not accurate. This is the best priced unit on the entire island for direct beachfront and the only reason you wrote this review was because you were trying to receive a refund erroneously. The condo was clean and as described. We enjoyed the side view of the water. It was beautiful! We loved the area! The communication with the investment company who owns it was poor. They didn’t respond to any of my messages when I had questions. They sent the entrance code through the message system so I know they use it. Otherwise all was fine.

A bit misleading
The location of this VRBO is lovely. You can walk to restaurants, but most important the building is on the ocean. It was well stocked except for a hair dryer and perhaps a blender. We were disappointed to learn that our unit faced the street, without a view of the ocean. There is a tiny deck from where you can get a little peek at the ocean if you went outside. We did enjoy the sound of the waves from inside. The maid did a fairly good job with surface cleaning. However, the shower curtain had black mold growing on it, windows needed cleaning, there was a buildup of dust on the ceiling fans, and the entire front of the refrigerator was covered with brown, (either rust or glue). There were also some maintenance issues. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, and the window wouldn’t open. There were bare bulbs on the light fixture on the fan in the bedroom where the glass lamps were missing. Most frustrating was that the lock to the patio door didn’t work properly. We requested the password the night before we left home, as we were boarding a 6 AM flight the next day. When we arrive at the condo the next day, we still had not received the password. We had to call the manager and wait about 20 minutes outside with our luggage to get in. Not how we hoped to start our vacation after 12 hours of travel. This condo needs some of attention to detail. After reviewing the advertisement, we noticed that it doesn’t suggest that we would have a view of the ocean. The photo of the building on the shore with that huge deck running across the back was a bit deceiving. It might be more accurate to have a red arrow pointing to the tiny deck on the side to clarify how much view it has.

This unit is the most cost effective direct beachfront unit on the entire island and the rates you paid for your trip are even less than a non beachfront unit with no water views. Your point on waiting for 20 minutes for your access code is inaccurate as that was sent to you the day of your arrival and you did not see it. We cannot send codes prior to the day of arrival due to security reasons. We promptly answered you when you arrived to the property and provided the access code immediately. You did not wait 20 minutes! We worked with you your entire trip to resolve any issues you were having including every single one you stated in this review and each issue you brought to our attention was resolved immediately. We are extremely surprised with your review based on how you were complimenting our staff continuously. The refrigerator has very minimal salt air rust on it due to the refrigerator being white and guests like yourself leaving the doors open as you highlighted in your review. It is just a cosmetic appearance on a refrigerator and has nothing to do with the performance of the refrigerator. We are very sorry that you were disappointed in your stay with us. So many positives - great location on beach, clean, one bedroom/one bath condo with slice view of ocean! Nice kitchen with adequate supplies and personal covered parking space. Be aware - there is a steep flight of steps to access condo.

The location is amazing. Even though it is the side unit, you still get an excellent view of Gulf. Pictures of sitting area listed is different. Furniture and decor not the same. Bed is not that comfortable with the pad. Otherwise, our stay was excellent. The location is excellent, off the beach, direct access to beach, 5 minute walk to Stump Pass, 3 minute drive to restaurants. Nice surprise on porch to have 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. Table on porch sits 4 people which was perfect for our family size.

Amazing place for the price
Amazing location never wanted to leave. Great interior amenities will definitely book again. So close to so much to do. Kids wished that we could stay there forever. Oh and there is a free golf cart locally that will take you to local restaurants and bars. Stumpys was its name.

Great little 1br on the beach. This is a back unit on the street side, not the main house. There is a nice screened in porch that has a small ocean view between two houses. Clean with a walk path to the beach. Everything that we needed for a weeks stay! Would definitely rent again.

This property was clean and tidy with a cute little screened porch that had a limited water view. Morning till early evening sun in the screened porch was lovely especially for morning coffee and evening appetizers. Kitchen was well equipped. Only thing lacking was a hair dryer. It was a quick walk to the beach and there were a few restaurants nearby.

Overall impression of this property...fantastic location, but over priced and under supplied. The unit was clean overall and the location on the beach is really fantastic. However, the pictures on the VRBO listing are not at all reflective of how the unit looked when we got there. The refrigerator/freezer doors are covered with some kind of yellowish residue. When you open the front door, the first thing you see inside are the stained/yellowing doors. It was definitely off putting. The living area is not arranged as in the pics. Updated pics should be added and the old ones deleted. The bed is indeed two twins pushed together with foam on the top....NOT a true king sized bed. I'm 6'4" and my legs hung over the bed by a fair amount. That fact should also be provided. Every time either person moves in the bed it squeaks pretty loudly. Not helpful for light sleepers. The screen door on the porch was broken. The closer was laying on the deck floor. No idea why the property manager wouldn't have taken an hour or so to get a new one and fix the door. We had to put a large pot filled with water in front of the door to keep it from slamming back and forth in the wind. The pics of nice, new, brightly colored Adirondack chairs in the outside seating area must be from a previous owner. Zero Adirondack chairs were provided. There were a grand total of 2 white plastic chairs available to use for both rental units. There was also one beach umbrella and one gas grill for two units. The umbrella and grill and been "claimed" by the tenants in unit A. When I contacted Andrew it took about 24 hours for him to respond via text. He told me he'd contact me the next day to follow up on my concerns. The following day he called around 6 p.m. We were on the beach enjoying the last sun set of our trip and I certainly had no intentions of taking my phone along. I had waited around all day for the phone call and had pretty much given up by that point anyway. It was over 48 hours for that phone call from the time of my initial contact. Future renters should definitely pay attention to the pics of the stairs. There are a lot of them and they are steep. The listing is not accurate IMHO. It's not quite bait and switch, but it's close.
