The hosts were incredibly responsive and have created a true gem that features a variety of different spaces in a picturesque location. Using the pontoon boat throughout our stay was a highlight. "This hotel is rough around the edges and is showing its age. That would not be so bad, but the room was not clean. There was mold in the shower, drips and water marks on the bedside tables. The bed looked like someone had slept on it after it was made. When I brought it to management's attention, the manager expressed his dissatisfaction with the cleaner and the cleaner was defensive. "

"This lake home had very adequate supplies; kitchen was very useful in the large family room. There are many beds for a large group. The teen girls enjoyed the bunk beds. A bathroom on each floor was essential so welcome. We so enjoyed the included pontoon and were able to launch our boat to pull tubers. A campfire provided us with an enjoyable time having s'mores. O'Brien Lake was really a nice clear lake with sandy bottom. Thanks also to Greg for quick replies to questions we had. From Waukon, Iowa and Mpls. area."

They really thought of everything - fans, games, extra pillows/bedding for the hide-a-bed, chairs around the fire pit & even firewood. Could not have asked for a better location - right on the trails to go side by siding. Will definitely book this VRBO again!"
