"Stayed at a Motel 6 decades ago and vowed never again. We normally stay in Morro Bay but needed a an inexpensive nights stay, since some event jacked SLO's rates sky high this wknd. Reviews were hard to believe, like 8.6 for a Motel 6, everyone said super clean, etc. Honestly, incredibly clean, like bizarrely clean for a Motel 6. No smell when we entered, and no negatives to wrote about. Staff was super nice, tons of parking, and in South SLO next to Courtyard Inn. Kudos to owner."

"We arrived late at night and found our name and room listed in the entrance door being that the front desk was closed. This didn’t seem safe to us but we went up to our room and found our room key on the bed. The room was awful. There was dust all on the ceiling, a gross coffee spill that was never cleaned up, an ant infestation (my husband had some gummy bears on his night stand and in the morning it was infested with ants) there was a spider in the room, the fridge that was provided was old and gross looking, and the shower head was rusted. It’s unfortunate because the hotel is in an ideal location. I can say that we will never stay here again."

"The staff was great, and the hotel grounds are stunning, but for the price paid we were expecting a few better perks, i.e., the in-room coffee was Maxwell House, and the mattress was too firm for our taste. That said, the view is nothing short of amazing!"
