Went fishing every day. Caught loads of fish around the lake. Even caught several off the dock, including a keeper walleye, perch, bass and northern! Sat and watched the northern lights from the dock one night. Grilled some steaks, went kayaking, saw lots of eagles and loons. Had a few campfires and enjoyed a cozy night by the fireplace. Jeff was great at accomodating anything we needed. He was quick to respond to emails. He was very respectful of our privacy. Enjoyed visits from Honzo the dog- very well behaved! We spent three nights here with our dog and felt very much at home in this century-old log cabin with modern facilities and even wi-fi. Jeff did everything to make his guests feel comfortable and welcome, and it was really a fun place to stay. We are campers and the grounds were very much like a nice campsite with tall trees, wildflowers and a fire pit with plenty of wood available. We actually heard more birds in the trees than we ever heard in state park campgrounds. Great place to stay and unwind. My family and I really enjoyed the cabin and all it's amenities. Jeff has thought of everything! Best supplied place I've ever stayed at! Very relaxing, and Jeff and Honzo were great hosts! Really enjoyed the fireplace and all the wood provided, and kindling too! My wife and son really loved the cabin also. Jeff was kind enough to share his boat too, along with fishing advice! Awesome stay, and really had fun, and loved the fire pit outside too! ##### Tom R. Jeff let us use a boat and that was great so we could explore the lake. Things were clean and you could find what you needed. The host’s house is very close and although we had space, we didn’t realize it would literally be feet away; which made it feel less private than we would have liked. ##### Angie S.
