Great hospitality of the night receptionist
"They would welcome you with some fanfare which felt abit weird for me haha... The neck of flowers. But it was welcoming for the warm tea and warm towel. Check-in was quite fast. Thanks for that! The night team when I was there during week of election is superb. It was pouring heavily, I still wanted ..."

"I went off the review that was made in January 2022, and I am glad that did.
Like the previous reviewer the area is a little bit daunting but I found that it was only so because we arrived when it was dark outside. When it was day time or early evening, it was fine, and if you arrive in a big van like we did, you can contact the hotel and they can help with your arrival!
About the hotel experience itself. It was probably one of my most meaningful hotel experiences ever(!) and its because of the family who runs it. The absolute kindest people you will ever meet, we met a lady, a man, and their son and daughter and each one of them just radiated kindness and care for their guests.
We arrived late, and quickly discussed if dinner would be possible- they made it happen and it was a huge dinner at such a low price!
We were a big group and took up several rooms, every room was super clean, and had very comfortable beds.
The next morning we woke up to the most beautiful view, it was beyond stunning - I suggest that if you stay here to try and be on the balcony/patio at sunset or sunrise, because it is truly spectacular. We had the most wonderful breakfast with the view (her hoppers/appams were delicious!)
Not only was the hotel clean and comfortable, it had a million dollar view and such a beautiful family hosting- I will definitely return!"

"This small boutique hotel is one of the original rest houses of Ella, and has a prime location overlooking the gap and Ella Rock, making the perfect backdrop for stunning sunrises. Beautiful birds and other wildlife occasionally make appearances on the large terrace surrounded by a garden. The location is fantastic; walkable to the town but far enough away from the noise. The breakfast and service were fantastic. Note, there is no spa or pool at this hotel. Our room (108) was spacious and comfortable, and had an amazing view."
