Awesome!!
This is a gorgeous property and is perfect for a group. It is always spotless and the kitchen is well stocked with the basics+. Tracey is so easy to communicate with and goes above and beyond for her guests. One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed in and I stayed in a LOT! Highly recommended.

This property was absolutely perfect for us. We had 4 couples and everyone really enjoyed staying there. It was super clean, well stocked and has a beautiful view from the family room window. I would definitely book this property again!

Lovely home
We truly enjoyed our stay. This nicely updated home is perfectly located & charmingly peaceful. It’s fully stocked if interested in cooking for a large group, and within walking distance of local restaurants too. Already planning a return trip & stay!

Lovely setting and everything was very clean!! Thank you for making the exception in our case and it was perfect!! Think the parking is a bit tight....especially since the location sleeps 10. But we will definitely stay again!

Perfect Girls Wine Trip
Our girls weekend in Elkin was fabulous. Upon arrival we walked in, music was playing and it was so clean and welcoming. We then walked through the backyard to Slightly Askew winery for a free wine tasting. We will definitely consider this home on our next trip! It was perfect.

Great house for couples Wine Tasting
Hard to find houses with just king and queen beds, but this one fits the bill. Has an awesome deck with grill and hot tub. Great location in the middle of everything.

Great place for small group
The place is very spacious- I’d say more so than it seems on the description. Also in a good location. The only downside was getting into the property. I was told I’d get a code for checking in 24 hours before. I did not. When I texted to ask for it the day of, it took a while to hear back. Further, my cousin tried to call the host because she had arrived before me and the host did not answer so they waited for a couple of hours. Thus, the trip started off rough but ended great.

Wonderful stay at Slightly Askew Wineryhouse
The house and furnishings were very clean and comfortable, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch since it was chilly the nights we were there. Large window in the living room looks out to a lovely view. Great place as our home base for touring the area wineries.

Perfect Home Away from Home
Everything we needed and more. Great location for our wine tasting trip. We had beautiful views, and all the amenities needed for 3 couples. Tracey answered our questions within minutes. We can’t wait to go back!

Best stay!
Our family of 4 couples had a wonderful time. The house with 2 king suites and 2 queen rooms with hall bath, huge deck, kitchen, table for 8 and enough comfortable den seating for 8 was perfect for us. The kitchen was stocked better than any rental we have ever used. Loved the gas logs for when the weather turned cool but we stayed so busy we didn’t use the hot tub. House is around the corner from Askew Winery so that the 2 backyards connected. A simple walk out back and we experienced the best wine tasting of our trip. Beds comfortable and linens were luxurious feeling. Everything was super clean too. Our only difficulty was figuring out the thermostat. Drug store, pizza all super close by but there is no traffic noise as the house is on a side street. Had no problem parking our 4 vehicles in the driveway either. 100% approved by our group. Wish all rentals were this nice. Thanks Tracy!

Perfect
This was our second stay at Slightly Askew house. This trip we stayed for a week with 8 family members (2 elderly) for a family wedding. The space is perfect for larger groups - big meals, family time. The separate space downstairs was perfect for a couple of the adult kids to break away and hang out. So pleased with this home - location, cleanliness, and of course the wine tasting that is included!

Rise & Wine!
We typically plan trips to Yadkin Valley at least twice per year and this was our first return in two years and our best return overall! We always bring new people with us because we love giving them tours of some of our favorite wineries and always add new ones to visit. It is surprisingly difficult to find a rental property that doesn't have a room or multiple rooms even with twin beds or bunk beds and it makes no sense to split couples up like that, so finding this gem with four rooms and four proper beds for couples was great! We will definitely return for that convenience alone. Not only that, but everyone reported their beds were perfectly comfortable, which so often is not the case. Being in Elkin, it is in close proximity to several of the wineries on our itinerary and having a kitchen full of cookware made for a great start to our wine tours! The hot tub was a perfectly welcome end to our evenings. The wide open living room and kitchen made for comfortable gatherings. On our next visit, I hope we have time to make use of the grill.

Fantastic find for friends getaway
We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful weekend at the Slightly Askew house. The property was as beautiful and spacious as advertised, and the hosts incredibly kind. The wine tasting was a (delicious) generous touch and great way for us to meet the hosts and hear a little about the town. There was more than enough room for 3 couples in our group and a great place to reconnect as friends- especially relaxing in the hot tub or in front of the bay window overlooking the forest. We’re all so glad we stayed here!

Tracie was very helpful with all of our questions and everything that we needed was provided at the house. The house is very spacious and we felt comfortable with a group of 10 ladies staying for the weekend. We also loved Slightly Askew Winery, which you can walk to from the house!

Fantastic place for family
We stayed at this house while visiting with extended family. It had so much space for us to enjoy and a large yard for the kids to run around and play. It had everything we needed and was super clean. The location is perfect-right in town- and the wine tasting was also a lot of fun. Easy communication with the property manager - all in all a wonderful place to stay. This wasn’t our first time and it won’t be our last!

Wine country, why not the Slightly Askew Home?!
If you’re looking for a place that’s close to the wineries and all the food, look no more! Slightly Askew house is a must. The place is great for big groups. It has a hot tub and huge deck for wine sippin’ Our host Tracie was great with communication, and assisted with any need. The Slightly Askew winery provided our group with a wine tasting and was very flexible. We will be back soon!

The house was very comfortable and roomy. They had everything we needed to cook and entertain our family close by. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back again. We had trouble with the outdoor lights being out, but they came and replaced bulbs. Front porch light would not stay on. The street is very dark and we would have liked a welcoming light when we returned late. Patio light was helpful since that was the way in and out. Great house! Highly recommend the property.

Slighty Askew
Traci was wonderful to communicate with and alerted us to an issue (completely out of her control) before our arrival so we would be aware. We arrived to find a nice basket with lots of goodies. The fridge had breakfast fixings and a snack tray. The beds were comfortable, we loved the back deck. There were 6 adults and 3 children there for an engagement party. There was plenty of room and the location to the venue was great. Thank you for helping to create nice memories. Julie

The home was set up with such a great welcoming when we arrived. We were in town for my oldest son's wedding. So, we got this house so all of us could stay together and it work great. Plenty of room.

Awesome girls trip location!
We were all very impressed with this property. When we first walked in, we were pleasantly surprised to find breakfast food, coffee and snacks waiting for us. The house had everything we needed as well. The house was very clean and conveniently located right behind the winery. We were also given a complimentary tasting at the winery which included 7 wines, snacks and a stemless glass :) Thank you so much for a great stay! My one small suggestion would be to put shower caddies in the showers as there was not really a good place to put shampoo etc while in the shower. Other than that it was perfect.

Great Stay for Yadkin Valley Wineries
We rented this house for a few nights for me and my wife, my sister and her family, and my parents, and had plenty of room for everyone, both in terms of bedrooms and living space. It's located right next to the Slightly Askew Winery tasting room and we had a good tasting there. You can walk into Elkin - it's about a mile and we enjoyed walking in for coffee in the morning. Also easy access to many surrounding wineries. Would definitely recommend.

Great House
Great house with lots of room. Excellent location and the bottled water, eggs, bacon, milk, cinnamon rolls and cereal that were waiting for us were an added bonus. Owners even came over when we had an issue with the TV not working. It was a minor thing that was really our error. They fixed it in 15 seconds and were very gracious about it too. Would definitely recommend this place. Visited nearby vineyards and distilleries too.
