The host was easy to communicate with. Lots to see and do within walking distance. Many of the stores in the historic district were vacant which took away from the overall appeal BUT the streets are safe and the occupied buildings are home to some really great restaurants (The Mills, Hoppin' Johnz), breweries, coffee shops, wine bars, and other unique offerings. I wish I'd have been able to stay longer as I think I only scratched surface of Elizabeth City. If you're not a fan of stairs, this apartment wouldn't work for you.
