It has a spectacular harbor mineral heritage of great importance as Puerto de la Laja industrial district is located in the municipality of El Granado. The "House of the Priests" consists of lounge, dining room and kitchen in the same area of ??ground baja.Y two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground alta.Se have found it the thick stone walls. Las casas están superbien. Tienen todas las comodidades y están muy bien preparadas. Sobre todo las chimeneas!!! El entorno es una maravilla, junto al río Guadiana. Los niños se lo han pasado genial y sus padre también. Quisiera agradecer a Jorge sus gestiones y recomendaciones y a Manoli su recibimiento y amabilidad. Sanlucar del Guadiana, Alcautim, Pomarao.....como no los conocia!!! Estupendas rutas de senderismo, playas fluviales, paseos en barco, buena comida,...... Si todo esto lo acompañas con un buen alojamiento y buena compañia,... Las casas del puerto de la laja son amplias y comodas. Decoradas con buen gusto y algunas con excelentes vistas. El trato de los propietarios y de la encargada Manoli fue correcto en todo momento. Recomiendo el paseo por la orilla del río hasta Pomarao, los niños no querían irse y esa es la mejor señal de que se lo pasaron bien, lo recomiendo. La tirolina de Sanlucar entre España y Portugal es algo que hay que probar........emocionante. ##### natividad E. Muy buen trato al cliente, además se agradece que el propietario sea una persona muy comprometida con el medio ambiente y defienda un turismo sostenible. Ya había estado un año antes en Valdelarco, en una casa de la misma propiedad, y tenía muy buenos recuerdos, fue allí donde oí hablar del Puerto de la Laja. Hemos estado en la “Casa de los Olivos”, un matrimonio de amigos, mi pareja y yo, intentando escapar un fin de semana del ruido de la ciudad y tanta red social, y recomiendo la experiencia. Un salón muy amplio, (ver el Guadiana “a tus pies” por la amplia ventana abierta te inunda en seguida de paz) que comparte el mismo espacio con la cocina, provista de todo lo necesario para una estancia. La terraza con suelo de madera invita a desayunar o tomar el aperitivo mientras se contempla la naturaleza en su estado más puro. No nos ha molestado nadie en todo el tiempo, y los pocos vecinos que viven en la aldea son muy amables. Hemos disfrutado de paseos interminables, la Vía Verde que recuerda al viejo tren minero a cada paso es casi obligatoria… A pocos minutos en coche en dirección a Portugal te encuentras con la primera aldea de este país, Pomarao, un sitio muy pintoresco cuyos callejones, esquinas y puertas piden foto. Justo en la entrada, un pequeño restaurante familiar, “Café do Casi”, nos encantó la atención y la comida casera, a la sombra de un enorme ficus, contemplando el río y su pequeño puerto. En dos palabras, fantástica experiencia. Un sitio desconocido por la gran mayoría, que invita volver. En la “Casa de los Olivos” he redescubierto el sueño, jeje! ##### DANIEL S. Admito que realmente no conocemos lo bueno que tenemos. Es una maravilla poder ver el Guadiana y su entorno desde tan cerca y con una perspectiva distinta a la que estamos acostumbrados ( Ayamonte ). Llegamos el viernes ya bien entrada la noche, y el propietario estaba ahí para recibirnos y para ayudarnos previamente con las indicaciones para llegar. La casa nos pareció al principio un poco fria, pero en cuanto nos instalamos , encendimos la chimenea y entramos en las habitaciones con calefacción nos pareció hasta que hacía calor. Tuvimos un problema con el microondas en el desayuno y uno de los propietarios nos lo solucionó en un momento. Nos sorprendió muchísimo el contraste entre el exterior de una casa rural antigua y el interior totalmente reformado, combinando muy bien modernidad con elementos rústicos del entorno. No hay TV ni casi cobertura, lo cual para nosotros es un valor añadido ( los niños han estado todo el fin de semana sin tocar el móvil ) Toda la zona es perfecta para realizar excursiones o paseos y puedes dejar a los niños jugar frente a la casa con total tranquilidad. Esperamos poder repetir en otra ocasión antes del verano pero viniendo con más matrimonios y cogiendo otra casa que tienen con mayor capacidad. ##### Ignacio M. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 4/10 Poor #### Mar F. 18 Aug 2016 #### Calidad/precio La verdad es que el entorno es muy bonito y relajador, pero cuando hablé por teléfono con el propietario me recomendó esa casa en vez de la del Olivo por las vistas....en otra época del año a lo mejor si pero últimos de junio no. Las ventanas de la casa aunque se ve el río desde una habitación la vista justo de frente en la casa no muy buenas ya que todas la hiervas de la puerta, en una explanadita que tiene, secas y hacía mal efecto lo suyo es que las hubiesen cortado y dejar eso mejor y apenas si entra el aire por ellas porque son muy pequeñas y ninguna produce corriente de una habitación a otra. El baño al tener el techo forma abuardillada, mi marido era raro el día que no se ha dado con la viga que lo cruza ya que su altura es mayor y sino pues se tenía que agachar. Cobertura de móvil nada de nada sólo con las redes portuguesas, es decir, si hubiese necesitado llamar al propietario por algún motivo, me tendría que haber desplazado 22 kmt hasta el pueblo que ofrece cobertura de mi compañía y en el mapa marca un teléfono público que tampoco existe. Sabemos que de los 4 días que estuvimos el último estuvo por allí la persona que se encarga de llevar las casas porque nos dejó una nota escrita, como que había estado, pero nosotros estábamos de excursión en ese momento. Vamos que por allí nadie ha ido por si necesitábamos algo. Eso sí los pocos vecinos que había en la zona encantadores y nos explicaron sitios dónde comer y poder hacer rutas bastante interesantes pero la próxima escapada a esa zona que nos ha gustado mucho lo más seguro es que no repitamos en estas casitas. ##### Mar F. La casa es cómoda para familia con niños pequeños, los cuartos son inmensos y la tranquilidad de la zona asegura un sueño tranquilo. Por otro lado las vistas al rio, la vía verde del Guadiana que pasa por la casa (10 kms de recorrido libre), la cercanía de Portugal (Pomarao) se come genial luego visita a Mértola muy cerca en coche, cruzar desde Sanlúcar del Guadiana a Alcautim por 1€ y disfrutar de su fantástico pollo asado y pasteles típicos. Y sobre todo la alegría de llegar a casa después del fin de semana y que tus hijos te pregunten que cuando volvemos a la casa del rio, sobran las palabras, todo muy bien y sobre todo muy tranquilo. ##### FRANCISCO JAVIER ---
