We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout our visit. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The food was good, with enough variety to find something you enjoyed at every meal.
One thing that could be communicated more clearly is the beach access. We knew the hotel was not beachfront, but we expected the beach arrangements to be easier to understand. During our stay, we discovered that Juan Dolio Beach is public, and we also learned through social media that access to the neighboring hotel’s beach facilities is only included with certain packages or room categories. That part was a bit confusing at first. Aside from that, everything was well organized, and we would definitely consider staying here again if we return to the area.

NOT 420 Friendly!!
The pool temperature was disgustingly hot! I understand it’s July, but the pool water was as hot as the hot tub. The lagoon water had jellyfish.
I’m familiar with other resorts and travel months and they have been cooler and refreshing!
When you arrive you’re forced to make dinner reservations for your entire trip if you want to go to one of the restaurants. Because of this limitation we gave 4 stars in the hotel lobby kiosk.
AND SOME OF THEM THEY HAVE KIDS AT THEM!
The very next morning- they woke us up with a call asking how to get that 5th star??
The entertainment was so so.
They did a disco night and none of the entertainment team knew how to dance it; however, they had the Dance Fever motion down.
Spanish is the language. Very few people speak English.

It’s a bait and switch the address is not where the location is and the rooms shown are not available. It’s still under construction and has regular black outs. Next to a cemetery. Do not stay here pictures not as shown. AGAIN DO NOT STAY HERE BAIT AND SWITCH NOT AS ADVERTISE. And Expedia nor the hotel will compensate.

Expedia customer care provided wrong information related to food options, but Bahia Principe Guest Service was extremely helpful to remedy the situation. All staff members were always serving with the purpose of making every guest’s stay as comfortable as they could.

The installations,the food, the beaches, the staff were incredible amazing and helpful good people. Unfortunately the rooms were so old and humidity , broken furniture, dust everywhere, bad conditions, telephone , tv , air conditioning not working even after repair, the towels were very very old and uncomfortable and looks like very dirty even after the laundry. We got updated and pay more and after 2 days We got better room. It is really very pitty the rooms conditions in general. I would like come back if the rooms conditions got better.
