Deer walk around in the yard. House is In middle of 2000 acres, creeks, small river, wildlife, dark nights and bright stars Huge shaded yard with many established trees. The house and yard are large and where you and your family will enjoy your stay here. This Farm is located in Metcalfe County, town is Edmonton in the Knob Lick community. We are one hour 20 minutes south of Louisville we are one hour 30 minutes north of Nashville we are 40 minutes from Bowling Green we are also 30 minutes from Mammoth Cave national Park, Cave City and Horse Cave Easily located 3 miles right off the Louis B Nunn Cumberland Parkway The house is near the South Fork of the Little Barren River. We are one hour from Lake Cumberland and we are only 50 minutes from the beautiful Dale Hollow Lake Green River Lake is 45 minutes. Restaurants within 5 miles are Cindy’s Center Diner, McDonalds, Subway , Minis Deli, country tyme diner , Roadside Barbeque, Gene’s Freeze , historic Sulphur Well Park with Light House restaurant. The City Grill and many more! The house is full of Antiques that each and every one tells a story of the area and has been meticulously selected to fit the theme of the home. The dining room table has a mural painted on the top of surrounding scenery. Rare Redwood master bed with accompanying black walnut furniture. All Windows provide 360 views of pastures, tobacco BARNS, pond, wooded areas. You can also watch the birds, deer and squirrels play out your window. All the floors are original wood from the farm. Also on main floor large kitchen breakfast nook and study. And the crown jewel of the main floor is the large country kitchen with a hand made oak center piece work station, cookware provided two sets of dishes to use in the dining room and breakfast area! There is also a large sitting area. The dining room table is a solid oak table with a hand painted mural of the countryside you see driving down highway 1243 to the home. The painted white china cabinet came from a sweet shop in Burkesville Kentucky. All bedrooms have a closet. 500 megabytes wifi Main floor has two bedrooms with two beds full bathroom with shower and tub., upstairs has five bedrooms with 8 beds full bathroom with shower and tub.Basement has one bedroom with queen and twin beds with a large sitting area. This 2000 acre farm came from William Clark. A land grant for his military service. The farm is a four generation working farm. Grain, hay, and cattle. Check out all the surrounding festivals during summer and fall. Everyone had their favorite place to go hide away or hang out in smaller groups. Yet there was plenty space to be all together. I grew up in a farm house in Ky. The owner was such a sweet and gracious host, even invited us to bring my grandbaby down to see the farm animals. We will definitely be back. The home accommodated 8 adults and one toddler with more than enough room, the country setting was welcoming for our Memorial day BBQ. We had most of our family there so while it was a get together to celebrate and enjoy Easter, it turned into a near complete family reunion. We loved the home and the amenities. This allowed the out of town families to get together with the local resident family members and make some new memories!! I am so happy we found this home to vacation in and plan to come back! It looked as if there were small remodeling projects going on with the house so the cleanliness was not up to proper standards. ##### Thomas M. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have had as far as cooking accessories, dishes and utensils are concerned. The porch swing took me back to sitting on my grandparent's swing. Now I'm the one watching the kids play. There were 11 of us, which should be a lot for one house, but I was always able to find a quiet spot to sneak in a nap. Kelly was a wonderful hostess and ready to answer my never ending questions. We received an amazing cake from her. It was a good sized cake, but with 11 people fighting over it, it did not take long to disappear. We love to do puzzles while on vacation and this house had the best puzzle table! I was so big we head two of them going at the same time. Water pressure was great, towels were fluffy and plenty of snuggly blankets! We loved this place and look forward to going back! It had plenty of room for a group of 14 that included 3 Families, 6 Adults, and 8 Children ranging in age from 15 to 3\. Everyone enjoyed the stay and this is just what we were looking for to get away from the busy everyday commotion. The property owner was exceptional and so accommodating. Don’t hesitate to book this if you have the desire to get away from the busy life we all tend to lead. ##### Ryan S. Our families enjoyed having the space to spread out (and the wide choice of bedrooms to choose from!)
