Edmonds Waterfront

We utilized after-hours check-in with no problems. We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities in the room. Since we were late getting to the room, any restaurants in the immediate area were closed, but having a full kitchen saved us. We were able to "eat" out of our cooler - heating up our leftovers on the stove. It did take us a minute to locate the room's heater (which we needed to take the chill off the room in April). I looked through all of the paperwork in the room and could not find instructions. Turns out, it's this little white vent under the Oceanview window and the "on" button kind of just blends in with the vent. Problem easily solved. I really enjoyed the beach access and would book a longer stay if I am in the area again.

Overall, I’d rate this hotel 3.5 out of 5 stars. The property itself is beautiful, very clean, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the luxury standard the hotel advertises. During our stay, we called the front desk from the room phone three separate times with no answer, which was frustrating and disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was with the hotel’s Audi car service. The staff was not knowledgeable or helpful when trying to assist us, and the front desk associate at checkout showed little urgency or follow-through. We stood there waiting for over 20 minutes without any updates, and no one ever followed up with us despite being told they would. For a luxury hotel, service and attentiveness matter just as much as the physical property. While the hotel itself is lovely, the lack of responsiveness and customer care left us disappointed overall.

6 stars for the staff! Arthur the bellman and Tomteo (?) the breakfast server. They quote “the largest room in the house is the room to improve “. Our experience was a service level that was always looking to surprise and delight. And the rooms and hotel are epic at large. Our new Seattle place to stay.
