It is situated in the charming cottage community of Sea Acres on the quiet east side of Orcas Island. This small island community has been a vacation destination for years with so many folks coming back year after year. There is something very special about this community and the folks that make up its residents year-round. There is a wonderful community beach and even a summer dock for walking on. The house itself is two story entering on the upper floor where you will find a good-size living room, dining room and kitchen area combined across its entire water view side. This area also opens onto a view deck with new propane BBQ and outside chairs and table. This is the perfect warm summer vantage point to watch the sunset on Lummi and Cypress Islands across Rosario Strait. The living room has a fireplace new Smart HDTV for your pleasure, including satellite television. On this upper floor you will also find two well decorated queen bedrooms with comfy mattresses and hotel quality linens. These bedrooms share a bathroom with combination tub/shower and luxury towels. Downstairs you will find a family/game room with game table, comfortable seating and another large screen television for watching satellite HD TV. Adjacent is a queen bed equipped sleeping area with water view and a shared hallway bathroom that has a combination tub/shower enclosure. Sea Acres enjoys one of the best small pebble beaches on Orcas Island. Taking a cup of coffee down to the beach each morning will be a popular way to enjoy this wonderful home and location. Please note: residential internet speeds, bandwidth and reliability in the San Juan Islands currently lag behind the mainland. Guests who wish to use videoconferencing, streaming services, or multiple simultaneous internet connections should be aware that performance may not meet the levels they are accustomed to. We hit most of the great things to do - hiked to Mt. Constitution, kayaked to Point Doughty, sampled the local cuisine and took in the lovely sunrises and sunsets (and beautiful night skies) from the decks of this home. Access to the beach area was easy and the sounds peaceful. Home was well equipped, accommodated 7 adults easily with outside dining and chairs to take in the views. Only one slight drawback was there were no screens on some of the windows and with no central air (we visited in August, 2022) there were a few uninvited flying insects. The 2 levels gave us nice room to spread out. It was clean and had nice linens and some basic amenities (ie. Things like hand and dish soap). We really enjoyed the space. We sat on the deck and enjoyed every meal. Property: This property and community are beautiful. There was no one there the week we stayed, which was perfect. It was quite, peaceful and a fun space for the kids to run around. The beach and dock were very special, we spent hours a day out there. We went sea glass hunting, crab catching and saw ottors, bald eagles and seals. Surprisingly, it does not seem like many properties throughout Orcas had access to a beach and dock, so this is special. -Something to consider is how far from emergency assistance this place is, which didn't occur to me until we arrived at the property with 4 kids under 6\. Reviewer Comments: We loved our 4 night stay there! Cooked a lot and had friends from Shaw Island over for lunch on the upper deck. We really enjoyed all the maps on the walls. Few things to needs a new fridge with working ice maker, the upstairs toilet runs constantly, the coffee pot needs replacing because of mold in water chamber, was cold in AM but furnace pilot wasn't turned yet. Overall a 5.... Beautiful and fun place. Groceries are about 35 minutes away in Eastsound and ferry landing is 45 minutes away. ##### Deena C.
