I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. Wow, such an amazing place! Our standard room was far from standard, it was beautiful! Plus everything we needed and more. The spa was unreal! Paradise! The seal tour was so enjoyable, even though we didn't see any seals, sadly. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer as there are so many activities on offer and many more interesting places to stay. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

You can’t beat the location of Kumpeli! Absolutely beautiful views of the river! The new owners have made some excellent changes. The spa was great before, small but very pleasant, now with the addition of the fabulous terrace with sunchairs and direct access to the river. The lobby is so much more inviting and service very friendly and efficient. Of course the rooms could do with some updating but they are very clean. Do get a room facing the river though…Really looking forward to going again...
