This was a gem, large well appointed rooms set in lovely gardens and close to the Addo Game Reserve, the breakfast area outside was lovely, for dinner ate in a separate restaurant onsite, also in a lovely setting and the food was good though the wine choice: 1 white, 1 red and 1 rose was a little limited but we would come back.

Overnight stay at Gerald's Gift Guest House
Warm welcome by the owner and all details of room and facilities given. Very neat, well furnished room with beautiful ensuite. Private and secure. Really enjoyed our overnight stay and will definitely go back.

The guest house was fantastic, perfect for the Addo elephant park, great house with two lovely dogs for extra company! The small eatery at the bottom of the garden was a real plus. Perfect place

Wonderful stay.
Amazing place to stay when visiting Addo Elephant Park. Very near to main gate. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and lots of it. We very much enjoyed our stay and waking up to a clean car having spent travelling around Addos dirt tracks was a welcomed surprise. We also loved the two friendly dogs Joshua and Benson. We very much recommend a stay at this truly delightful guest house

Perfect location if you want the visit Addo National Park. Difficult to fault anything very restful, and the lady in charge was very helpful. Gardens of the property beautiful.

One Night Stay
Arrived here after a 250km drive and found the place very easily. We had a warm welcome from Sue and check in was quick and efficient. Sue showed us round the garden, breakfast area, guest lounge and then to our room. She also checked up on two restaurants for us because we wanted to eat early which was very helpful. The room was large with plenty of space for our luggage. The bed was a Queen (width of two singles) and very comfortable with soft linens. The shower and sink area were behind the bedroom area and separated by a low wall but the toilet was off to the side behind a door. The shower was spacious with very good flow and plenty of hot water. Towels were large and soft. Nice smelling toiletries. The room had a tea/coffee station, air conditioning and good WiFi. Everywhere was clean. We ate early at a restaurant and returned to enjoy complementary sherry, swimming pool and beautiful garden. Breakfast was taken outside with continental selection and hot food cooked to order which was delicious. Geralds Gift is a beautiful place with warm and friendly hosts and our only regret is not staying for longer. Will return.

Best surprise on our trip
This was one of our best surprises on our trip. Its was an amazing, well kept and beautifull house. Beutifull garden and tasty breakfast. The owner, Su, was very nice and welcoming too. Definitely a must if you love green, peacfulniss and quality.

Definitely recommend that lovely guesthouse, especially room Avocet, with beautiful garden, friendly staff, great and helpful host Sue. We loved everything: fresh bottle of water every day, clean car everyday, laundry etc

Gerald's Gift Guest house is a great place to stay if you are going to spend some time in Addo. The garden is beautiful with a swimming pool and a tennis court that can be used. The rooms are clean and big. The only thing we missed sometime was a TV since it is so calm there, but there is TV in the common room if you like to hang out there. The breakfast was lovely and the staff was very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

A little bit of heaven.
We stayed at Gerald's Gift mainly to visit the Addo Elphant Park thought there were other activities near by if you wanted them. However. Gerald's Gift itself was a little bit of Heaven. A beautiful house set in fabulous gardens way off the road behind automatic gates in developing fruit orchards. The rooms were beautiful each like little cottages in the garden. Our hosts Sue and Roger we most friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We ate 2 night running at Africanus, an hotel just a little way down the road. We loved Gerald's Gift and would thoroughly recommend it if you are visiting the area

The accommodation itself is good, the large garden is well maintained, the dinner and breakfast were good, the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, our room smelled very musty, brown water initially ran out of the tap, which didn't make a good impression.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Gerald's and really liked the surrounding gardens and its tranquility. Lovely and clean room and hard to imagine it once had a different purpose (the cottage front door is revealing), quite, personal parking space and just 10 minutes to Addo Elephant park. Great breakfast too and a citrus plantation to get lost in. You will definitely see all the game through very clean windows but you we suggest you experience it yourself. Recommended for sure.

Leuk hotel te midden van een grote citrusplantage. Zeer mooe tuin! Lekker restaurant 2 km verderop, aanrader voor sushi-liefhebbers. Elephantpark ligt op 10 km, voor de rest is hier weinig te doen.

Hier kann man sich sehr wohlfühlen
Hier kann man sich sehr wohlfühlen. Die Gartenanlage mit Pool ist wunderschön. Das Frühstück ist top und man wird allgemein sehr gut bewirtet. Die Lage ist auch für einen Besuch in Addo Elephant Part optimal. Man hat uns freundlicherweise auf Anfrage eine ganztägige Safari in Addo und Schotia vorab gebucht. Es gibt auch ein gutes Restaurant in der Nähe. Die Zimmer sind schön, geräumig und komfortabel, wenn auch mit einigen Besonderheiten versehen (vor allem, dass das Badezimmer bzw. das Klo keine Tür hat!). Unser erstes Zimmer roch ziemlich penetrant nach Benzin, was höchstwahrscheinlich auf den danebenliegenden Anbau für Gartengeräte mit Rasenmäher zurückzuführen war. Man hat uns aber aufgrund unserer Beschwerde ein anderes Zimmer angeboten.

Gute Unterkunft, toller Garten!
Wir waren hier für zwei Nächte, natürlich um den Addo-Park zu besuchen (der uns übrigens enttäuscht hatte....). Die Unterkunft ist gut, das Personal sehr freundlich. Als wir dort waren, waren nur Deutsche und ein Ehepaar aus der Schweiz da, das Haus war scheinbar ausgebucht. Zum Besuch des Parks ist die Unterkunft gut geeignet, weil man nur eine kurze Fahrtzeit zum Park hat. Wir hatten irgendwie mehr "Ort" erwartet. Addo ist eher langweilig und das Haus liegt außerhalb. Aber der Garten ist einfach toll, auch der Pool (den wir nicht genutzt haben) ist sehr schön angelegt. Die Zimmer waren gut und ruhig.

schönes, ruhig gelegenes guesthouse. Sehr schöne Zimmer. Schöne Umgebung. gut gelegen zum Erkunden des Addo Elephant Park. Nettes Restaurant gleich ein paar hundert Meter weiter.

Mooi gelegen B&B met prachtige tuin en heerlijk zwembad. De kamers hebben een wisselende kwaliteit met een nogal gedateerd interieur.

Propriété magnifique
Le gros point fort de cette guest house est son jardin, absolument somptueux, débordant de fleurs, oiseaux,... À lui seul il justifie de s'arrêter dans cette maison d'hôtes ! Quel bonheur de prendre son petit-déjeuner dehors au sein de ce petit paradis ! La maison principale, ancienne, est aussi un vrai bijou. Quant à la chambre, nous étions dans une des toutes nouvelles ("Finfoot"), vaste et plutôt confortable. Nous avons trouvé la décoration moyenne mais tout est affaire de goût ! Le personnel est -comme souvent en Afrique du Sud- chaleureux et serviable
