We arrived at the hotel and were told that our booked room was not available. The owner later said this was because the renovations were behind schedule. We were then booked into another hotel down the road which we had not wanted to stay in. In order to get breakfast in the morning we had to walk along the seafront back to the original hotel. We very much felt like a problem to be fixed and not guests. A risky stay until the renovations are complete.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Staff were just brilliant and could not do enough for us. Room was nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities and a great sea view! Shower was not that powerful but other than that we enjoyed our visit. We were even permitted to bring a takeaway and eat it in the bar! Staff also provided us with plates and cutlery how cool is that!! We will be returning here again next time we visit Eastbourne for sure.

Really enjoyed my stay, hotel staff where very friendly and helpful, hotel room was very clean and bed was very comfortable quite tricky to get shower temperature right sometimes but not a major issue i think. highly reccommend, was algo a very good price for the night as well thank you

Awful hotel
This hotel is very run down and not worth the money. There are cracks in the walls, toilet hanging off the wall, mould on the wall, shower door handle fell off, cracks in the sink and it was a cold room. The breakfast is poor for the money. Only a little given. Cereals kept ouy uncovered and generally dirty. I have included only a few pictures. It was so much worse than these pictures. I would NEVER stay here again.

Fraud alert!
The hotel seems to have nice rooms, but we were given a run-down, tiny, and dirty room to the back, probably not refurbished in the past 30 years. We were told that the "better" rooms were already taken. On hotels.com, there was no picture of that room or anything similar. The receptionist offered us another room; in that room, even the excrements of their last victim were still floating in the loo. I've traveled to 38 countries, I stayed in hotels in Asia and Africa for less than 10 Pound, but I was never given such a disgusting room. We waisted a Saturday night of our holidays finding another accommodation because of the criminal management of this place.

Dirty and disgusting
We booked in and booked out 30 minutes later. The cleanliness of the hotel was disgusting and not fit for purpose. The hotel should have a urgent make over or be shut down. This hotel corridor stunk of urine and the carpet looks 50 years old. This is the worst hotel we have ever booked and we just could not stay amongst the filth

Great Hotel, Poor parking.
Great service and a lovely room with decent facilities. Excellent quality shower and comfy bed. Wifi unavailable anywhere apart from main lobby/common areas. Zero parking available, most nearby parking is pay and display and quite expensive, as it is beach front.Had to park a good few roads away just to find a space.

Lovely comfortable stay.
Amazing welcome and friendly staff. Needed a fan in the room and very helpful reception gentleman bought one straight up.Very grateful for upgraded room. Very nice hotel, room slightly dated but very comfortable and clean standards. Would recommend.

We a very nice time there how room had a see view which we did not book.The staff were great and the entertainment was ok .we stayed in another hotel the next week but we you the majestic for drinks and entertainment will stay there again

The hotel was perfectly adequate and staff were friendly. The only downside was parking. The principals is good but availability sadly lacking. Having spent 20 minutes cruising the area trying to find a parking spot I gave up and ended up parking over half a mile away and walked back to the hotel

lovely staff at breakfast & Jack in the bar was lovely. place needs some new carpets & a coat of paint. 1 of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever "slept" in. as no air con fans would be good in the rooms. good location on the sea front & near the town centre.

The hall ways seemed in need of painting the linen and towels were clean, the room was small and the bathroom was cramped (and I am not big)

The hotel is old but they have upgraded the rooms (well ours was anyway). The floors are creeky but that's to be expected due to its age. The hotel is clean and our twin room with sea view was lovely and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would book this hotel again. My only negative would be the location. It's a fair walk to the town and restaurants but the weather was good so it wasn't a problem

As person who's given up smoking, I find it odd when one complains about the smoking on your floor your on they upgrade you and leave the smoker(s ). Certainly can't complain about an upgrade. If a people were smoking in the bar you wouldn't move the non smokers. Strange but true.

We did not like having to eat our meals separated from the dining room in a corridor and looking at a high chair and the walls. 2 kettles in the bedroom did not work and finally the third was OK . There was nothing in the bedroom to tell us of restrictions, such as having to ask for clean towels, toilet rolls and clean mugs. We did like having a Gideon Bible for our use.

Great location, right on the seafront and minutes from everything you'd need! Really friendly, helpful staff throughout stay. Didn't try but looked like they had a good restaurant/bar and entertainment area. Nice outdoor seating overlooking the seafront. Rooms good size, some areas a bit dated but mainly modern and very clean! The only main issue was parking, tbh was an absolute nightmare for 2 days! If you can find a space then super cheap with a £2 permit from the hotel. The only other issue was a team of builders literally on the roof outside our window at 8am, very loud and an abrupt wakeup call!

My short stay in Eastbourne.
Overall I had an enjoyable stay at the Majestic Hotel. My room was small but adequate and clean. I spent very little time in my room so this was not a problem. I found all the staff I had contact with very pleasant and accommodating. I would say it is about 1/2 mile from the main restaurant area along the sea front. When I arrived late Friday evening I could only find parking over 1/4 mile away. I am a fit 69 year old so this was no issue. All in all I found the Majestic good value for money in a fair sea front location.

The room was terrible. It was damp and wallpaper was peeling off wall. It irratated my asthma at one point. The hotel looks tired, the breakfast was cold and i had to go get my own tea dispite been told they will come ti me. The breakfast assistant was kind and went and got me a fresh tea pot. People all crambed in dining room with no ventilation and no staff wearing any masks. The waiter who had lifted dirty plates was sticking thermastate in suasages with no gloves. I had to walk to an ATM to get cash to pay for parking voucher. Worst stay i have been to in Eastbourne. Staff however are friendly and helpful.
