It has a special meaning for me since it was my dad's dream to climb it, and due to his Dementia he can no longer do this. Last year I the weather gods finally allowed me to climb the 3666m Glacier - it took 2 days, and a 3am start on the final day. The final push required Crampons and roping up with others. The final 100m lead over a ridge that drops steeply to each side, but the clouds were obscuring it. Finally at the top we were able to catch this tiny glimpse of the ridge as the clouds lifted for only seconds. We had paid €70 to use the spa after checkout (11am) and our airport transfer 2:45pm. They said they had run out for bathrobes for the Spa and asked us to go back to our apartment to get ours however we informed them that our robes in the apartment were on the floor of the bathroom so they were wet. (As reception asked us to do 2 days earlier when I booked the Spa) eyes rolled again. The lady in the lounge bar was excellent and made great cocktails with very friendly service. Despite the occasional service hiccups we’d defiantly come back.
