Great value B&B and lovely host, Nick, was very helpful with local restaurants, but down side street not on sea front so "sea view" was very limited by road and sea wall. Finding parking on road was a bit hit and miss. Room was otherwise good, but shower needs updating and breakfast was great. Thanks also for keeping husband's wallet and phone safe after he managed to leave without them!

Service Fantastic, Room Disappointing.
We were put in an attic room with very limited facilities, ie, 2 usable power sockets only, if the tv (18 inch) and kettle plugged in, no phone charge points or USB outlets available. Bed was very uncomfortable, unable to get interrupted sleep as bed made awful noises when you moved. Shower water pressure a joke as only dripped out, not even a spurt. Attention to detail needed on cleaning, as quite dirty down side of wardrobe and chests of drawers, also left hand window double glazed panel blown, full of condensation obscuring our limited sea view.

Dear guest Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us but can I just say I find things you have put down strange as I did say we had the plumber round yesterday as you did say about the shower then We talked about it when you left and you said you fully understood what had happened as for the other things you put down you was asked on both the days you stayed if everything was ok and on both days you told us everything was great You even said this today when we talked just before you left today you even said about coming back to stay with us again so as I say your comments are very strange Regards Eastbourne Reymar

Ok for 2 nights
We stayed in room 16 on the top floor. Describing the room as having sea views is stretching it, if you craned your head around the corner we could get a glimpse! The room actually had a fine view of the rubbish bins at the rear of another hotel! The shower and toilet were in a cupboard and the washbasin outside the door in the bedroom as there was no space in the cupboard bathroom. The shower was comparable to standing in the rain! Don’t attempt to wash long or thick hair you’ll be there all day! From the toilet every minute or so was a flushing noise not too noticeable during the day but very noisy at night! Was it a macerating machine? An overflowing toilet? Don’t know but it kept me awake! Despite the tiny room (only room for one bedside table !) the bed and bedding was warm and comfortable The breakfast was ok, not special and the staff pleasant and friendly. Strongly recommend trying to find a parking right outside as the back streets look very dodgy and scruffy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay In regards to the rooms, some of them do come with the sink in the room. Unfortunately due to the age of building some of the configurations mean that the sink is in the room, this is something we cannot change. The issue with the sea view is something we are looking to change once the season ends as we cannot change the description half way through. We do take this on board The decor of the rooms is in keeping with the building as well as theme throughout. The rooms are repainted and re-evaluated every six months. The plumbing in the building is something we could have addressed while you were staying with us. I did take the time to ask how your stay was and you didn’t bring this issue to my attention. The shower in the room you were in was fed from the boiler downstairs, this means that the water can take some time to get hot or gain pressure. As I have said previously the age of the building is something I cannot change. However, we are getting the plumber in to look at the toilet issue you have raised. Parking is advertised as being on street and we cannot pick the location of the building. In the time we have been here which is over 4 years, no damage has come to any of cars that have parked on the street. We take your comments on board but wish you had brought some of these issues to our attention before departing the building.

Enjoyed our week
A clean and comfortable BB , breakfast is traditional of good quality. Room 15 is small and we should perhaps have booked a larger room. Staff always helpful. Downside there is on-street parking but in the height of the season you will probably find yourself having to park your car a few streets away. Enjoyed our week there, thank you.

Wonderful place
Wonderful stay, hotel was in a perfect location right near the sea front. Plenty of parking & car was safe. Train station within walking distance so able to visit Hastings & Brighton with ease. Plenty of shops & bars also within walking distance. Room, bed & hotel staff all extremely pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly B&B right next to the seafront
It is a very well located and friendly place to stay. Good price with breakfast included and they accommodated for vegans which is a massive plus. Check in was easy and so was check out. Will likely be in town again next year and will very likely book here again. Thanks for a great stay

Pay attention to the check-in times - I didn't
I could not stay at the Reymar because I could not arrive at the specified check-in time. My advice to travellers is pay attention to the check-in times and don't pay in advance if you are uncertain of your travel plans, this place does not have late check-in, 7pm at latest. I could not arrive in time for the check-in, and because I chose the cheap rate and paid in advance, there was no incentive for the place to allow me late check-in. Can't complain really, it was clear up front, which is why this advice is for prospective travellers to learn from my mistake. No cancel rule = no refund. I have learnt my lesson.
