Not particularly clean or well decorated. Awful night in the hotel. Problems with people in room next door. Despite this, staff were helpful and apologetic about our stay.

On arrival the staff were welcoming and they reception areas appeared clean and in good repair. On going to our room, the carpets were worn and appeared not to have been hoovered. Room itself was generally clean, but bathroom grout gave the impression it was dirty. The room opposite was extremely noisy and arguments in the other areas of the hotel went on till early hours of the morning meaning we could not sleep! Although the night staff did try to deal with this with very little success. Just when thing's settled down and we thought we might get some sleep, the heating system came on at 6.30am and the radiators in our room started playing what I can only describe as Tubular Bells! So sorry Humber View, although you're unable to predict your guest's behaviour and your staff are friendly. I don't think I will be returning. On positive note the breakfast was nice with a variety of choices.

All the staff we encountered were friendly and happy which is always a good thing at a hotel! The views from the terrace of the Humber Bridge were beautiful, was a shame our room didn’t have the same view! We only stayed for one night, but would stay again if we’re in the area again.

The stay was great. Luckily the weather was cooler than the last time we stayed there as the rooms get quite hot. The beds aren’t very comfortable and the pillows are awful. Won’t stop me using it again though as it is very convenient for location.

The hotel is certainly in need of some refurbishment, a four star hotel that has threadbare carpet in the rooms is a bit on the sad side. The mattresses are hard and lumpy and the rooms are very warm and with limited ability to open windows. Areas of the breakfast dining room could do with a clean, namely the wooden walls the layer of dust and grim was not pleasant. Staff were very happy, helpful and friendly. This was a night away booked using Expedia points so coat is nothing, if I’d paid for it I would have been very upset. I won’t be rushing back.

Had to wait some time for the receptionist to come to the desk. In fact the barman had to go find him. When receptionist did get there he spent the whole time complaining the computer didn’t like him. The barman was good and very professional/helpful. Restaurant was unwelcoming so ate in the bar.

The staff are unable to provide a good experience as the hotel itself doesn't come up to scratch. The reception area is very stark. The rooms are adequate size for a short stay. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, however we had the worst night ever. We entered the hallway to the rooms and a wall of heat greeted us, when we got to the room windows were all open and a fan was already switched on. After a night out we came back and trying to sleep was impossible due to the heat. I thought my husband was going to have an heart attack. Breakfast was good quality products but it was overcooked, such a shame.

Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff.
We arrived quite late but they kept the kitchen open which was really generous. The food was ghastly and took over an hour to arrive, so it was a mixed blessing! They clearly have some staffing issues but they were very friendly and welcoming. There was a school prom the first night and a wedding the second so I didn't get much sleep, though my husband wasn't bothered, so I guess I'm sensitive to noise. It was very hot but the room had an electric fan which we kept on all night. Also helped to drown out the partying! Room was beautiful, the whole hotel is really beautiful and overlooking the water, absolutely wonderful. Would absolutely recommend, but maybe I would request a quiet room best time. And go out for dinner! The Greek, Hessle is fantastic, they should open a branch in the hotel for a perfect experience!

The view of the Humber Bridge can be outstanding - fog and weather permitting - just outstanding! The property is tired but is being renovated. The people (front desk, bar) are brilliant and almost balance out the rest of the experience. The bar people ARE brilliant.

Rooms a little dated and bed not very comfortable. Shower was scalding hot and could not adjust so unusable. No rooms available to move to and discount offered in compensation was not acceptable.

Unprepared room and pet smells
On arrival I was sent to a room that had not been cleaned. the room still had empty champagne bottles in it and it was in a mess. I spoke the the staff and they then showed me to another room that was a pet friendly room. I mentioned that I have allergies and that this room is not ideal. I could smell the animal that had previously been in there. They subsequently cleaned the pet friendly room and asked me to use that room. This was not an enjoyable stay and very disappointing. Why are the rooms not clean?

A little disappointed
The room they originally gave us want made up when we arrived. The room itself felt a little “tired”, as did the hotel itself. The write up is a little misleading, a spa hotel? No spa? I was just hopeful of a bit more from their own named Signature Hotel.

Ok for price. Could do with a revamp.
It was OK. Staff friendly, food average. Damp smell in corridor and very worn carpets. Room seemed clean except I found a toenail/fingernail left next to sink!

I booked this place as part of a road trip and it so happened that it was on valentines night we stayed......I ordered flowers and card to be sent direct to the hotel for a surprise for my wife and the staff were brilliant they had everything arranged in the room for our arrival.....

Although my stay was short (only two nights), I picked up on a nice, friendly, casual atmosphere, not at all intrusive. Layout pleasing to the eye and comfortable in all respects. Staff friendly and helpful. Commanding view of the bridge

Highly Recommended Hotel
A warm welcome from a helpful receptionist. Room was clean, but on the downside, very hot. Breakfast was excellent, as was the service from Cassie. Would highly recommend any day of the week. Spot on.

Friendly front of house who checked us in efficiently. Main area of the hotel was nice. Our room was ok from a brief look. There were lipstick marks on glasses and mugs and bathroom tap dripped throughout the night. Reviews about the heat in the rooms is correct. I'm normally always cold but by morning I was glad to get out the room to cool down. We had the windows open all night to try and combat the warmth. The grass area outside the hotel has very good views of the Humber. We didn't have a Humber view room, but the view was pleasant of the driveway and trees. Dog friendly. Spacious bar. Can't comment on food as we never went

No fridge in the room was inconvenient. A fridge and a microwave would have been helpful. The location was convenient, free parking and free wifi was nice. However, getting to the room was a trek and not convenient. Reaching the room meant a journey down a corridor, through two sets of double doors, up stairs, down stairs, more doors and a long corridor. All while carrying multiple pieces of luggage. They are trying to te open after being closed for covid. The kitchen was not open much, so breakfast and evening meals were inconsistent. The front reception staff were all very happy to assist. The bar/restaurant staff not so friendly.

Lovely views
We had a lovely stay after attending a wedding at the hotel. The food was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. The grounds are nice and have lovely views of the Humber Bridge.

A good hotel...in the 80s...maybe
In the 80s maybe it was a good hotel. It does not worth £100+ a night, you can find the same level for much less. Very disappointed with the mattress (after a while they should be replaced, they can't keep going for decades) as well as the bed sheets were too short for the mattress. The room looked very "tired" and too old fashion (it wasn't a choice of style, but furniture from another era). The shower curtain was the cheapest type you can find in any store...at least it could be replaced sometimes to avoid it changes colour at the bottom. We had a dinner at the hotel; fish and chips. The chips were nice, the fish was definitely frozen (and not the best quality) and the peas (also frozen) were just throw in the plate without any dressing (and no, it wasn't on the table). One additional star than deserved because of the staff! Victor at the reception was very professional, the gentleman (I am sorry I don't remember the name, but he was about 50 with the beard) at the bar was very kind and Maria at the breakfast was really energetic! Bravi!

Disappointing stay
Disappointing for 4 star. No evening meals available in restaurant, only from bar. Table settings for self service breakfast no way meeting 4 star standard see photo. If this setting was to comply with covid rules, why was all the food self service? After everyone has handled the serving tongs, they are then expected to feed the toaster with their bare hand not hygienic at all. The room was adequate but the basin had a blockage and water was extremely slow to drain away, Also two of the soap dispensers did not work. There was no tray for the tea/coffee making. all tea bags etc. were stuffed into the mugs and had to be tipped onto the unit and there was nowhere to put used spoons.
