I have stayed at Nobu many times and I love the hotel. I chose to stay there for my birthday this year. However, this time at check-in, the lady at the front desk was on the phone with another customer. She tried to help me while still on the phone with the customer. I told her no worries, I could wait for her call. I heard her tell the person on the phone that she was the only person working. After waiting around 5 minutes, maybe more, she got off the phone and assisted me. I was VIP and also paid more for a better room. I did not receive the tea / warm towels. She asked me if I wanted them, and I declined because she seemed busy. Further, I was supposed to get a bottle of wine with my stay, which I never received. We got to our room and no mirror other than the small bathroom mirror. 'We went up to the pool (around 2pm). When we tried to get a drink at the bar, there were several people working however we were told the bar was closed to prepare for an event. We were not informed about another menu or the QR code - I have never been to Nobu when the pool bar was not open on a Saturday. We finally realized there was a sign with a QR code after we saw other people receive food. We felt rushed to leave the pool, which was the entire reason why we arrived early. The people started cleaning up around us and it was uncomfortable. No one told us at checkin the pool was closed even when we asked about the pool Mitch was very nice when he took us to our room.
