Tucked into a private, wooded setting overlooking the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, the home blends historic charm with modern comfort. Originally built over 100 years ago, it has been thoughtfully expanded to accommodate today’s families. Be sure to check out the framed photo inside showing what the home looked like back in 1922. The main level offers plenty of space to gather, with two queen bedrooms, two living rooms separated by a shared fireplace, and two dining areas. The spacious kitchen is fully updated with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and two dining islands. There’s also a snack and coffee bar with a beverage refrigerator, perfect for easy mornings and afternoons. Most TVs in the home are smart TVs, and complimentary Wi-Fi is included. Upstairs, you’ll find three additional bedrooms, including the primary suite with a king bed, full bathroom, and walk-out balcony. The remaining rooms include a bunk room for kids and a bedroom with two queen beds, making it easy to accommodate larger groups. Outside, you’ll have access to a private dock that’s great for fishing and large enough to accommodate a 21-foot boat. A launch ramp is located at the end of the street, and South Arm Marina is just a short drive away. The private beach is ideal for all ages. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of the home was clean, but the outside is cluttered with items and the sun deck is in poor condition. The grounds had not been cleaned for what looked like a long time and spider webs were all over. The home is outfitted with an assortment of mis-fit, damaged and left-over cottage items. The kitchen lacks adequate pots and pans, a toaster, sharp knives, and is a collection of garage-sale items. The freezer overflowed and did not make ice (management addressed), and the bedrooms rooms lack blinds or curtains. Based on the pictures, I expected a high-quality home which this is not.This has a nice beach with a raft which is great for swimming, but it is just a big cottage that sleeps a lot of people. The beds, linens and towels were fine, but this is an old cottage with left over furniture and not a high-end rental that I expected from the price. ##### John K. The sandy beach and shallow sandy entrance to the lake made the lake very fun to swim in. Water temperature quite warm in the low 70's. We enjoyed docking a boat on the property and renting kayaks and paddle boards from a local company. The property was very clean and the managers were responsive and prompt. The kitchen could have been stocked better for cooking: no real decent knives, limited pot holders and kitchen towels; limited spatulas and other kitchen utensils; poor quality pots/pans but we were able to be creative and enjoy some decent meals cooked at home. Also poor water pressure made taking showers in more than one bathroom at the same time a challenge but we worked it out. We didn't feel safe using the grill on the back deck because when we turned on the gas line to the grill at the gas tank, we smelled gas and we were concerned there may be a leak in the line extending from the tank to the grill. But this was not a deal breaker for us. ##### patricia w. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
